Fuel storage system for a vehicle and vehicle including same
A vehicle can include a longitudinal direction, a traverse direction and a vertical direction that are orthogonal to each other, a pair of front seats, a pair of rear seats, a fuel tank and a canister. The pair of rear seats can be mounted behind the first pair of seats in the longitudinal direction. The fuel tank can be mounted under a first of the rear seats. The canister can be mounted under a second of the rear seats.
FUEL TANK STRUCTURE
A fuel tank structure that makes it difficult for mud, water, dust or the like to enter a fuel tank and that can restrict a fuel leakage path when a vehicle falls. A fuel cap includes a cap body mounted to a fuel supply port of a fuel tank, and a pressure adjusting device provided in the cap body to adjust a pressure in the fuel tank. In the fuel cap, a space is formed as a hermetically closed space in which the pressure adjusting device is accommodated, and the space communicates with an exterior of the fuel tank via a breather tube.
Fuel tank having inlet check valve
The present disclosure relates to a fuel tank comprising a filling tube opening via an inlet check valve into the fuel tank and comprising a venting device for discharging fuel vapors from the fuel tank. According to the present disclosure, the venting device has at least one venting line, which extends into the interior of the fuel tank and opens with an open end into a gas volume in the region of an upper wall part of the fuel tank, wherein the at least one venting line is guided such that it forms a siphon in the region of a lower wall part, and the inlet check valve has a bypass connection, to which the at least one venting line is connected.
Fuel filling and vapor recovery system for vehicles
A fuel filling and vapor recovery system for a vehicle is described. The system includes: a canister that is in communication with a fuel receptacle in the vehicle to collect and filter fuel vapor; a first tube that is connected to the canister; a second tube that is connected to the fuel receptacle; and a canister box that is configured for connection to the first and second tubes. The canister box includes an upper member, and a lower member that is configured for engagement with the upper member such that a watertight seal is formed therebetween to prevent external water intrusion into the canister box. The lower member includes an integral connector that is configured for connection to the first tube to allow the fuel vapor to enter the canister box.
EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS CONTROL FOR A VEHICLE
An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) comprising a frame, a plurality of ground engaging members supporting the frame, a straddle seat coupled to the frame for supporting at least one rider, a powertrain assembly operably coupled to the ground engaging members, the powertrain assembly comprising an engine, a storage container coupled to the frame at a position rearward of the straddle seat, an exterior surface of the storage container including an indentation, and a fuel system fluidly coupled to the engine, the fuel system including a fuel tank, a fuel vapor line fluidly coupling the fuel tank to the engine, and an evaporation canister positioned along the fuel vapor line, wherein the evaporation canister is positioned within the indentation in an exterior surface of the storage container.
EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS FUEL TANK VENTING SYSTEM WITH PRESSURE RELIEF
A vent shut-off assembly configured to manage venting on a fuel tank configured to deliver fuel to an internal combustion engine includes a first liquid vapor discriminator (LVD), a main housing, a first poppet valve assembly, a pump and an actuator assembly. The first LVD is disposed in the fuel tank. The main housing selectively vents to a carbon canister. The first poppet valve assembly has a first poppet valve arranged in the main housing. The pump selectively pumps liquid fuel from the main housing. The actuator assembly is at least partially housed in the main housing and includes a cam assembly having a cam shaft that includes a first cam and a second cam. The first cam has a profile that one of opens and closes the first poppet valve fluidly coupled to the first LVD.
EVAPORATIVE EMISSIONS FUEL TANK VENTING SYSTEM WITH DRAIN PUMP
A vent shut-off assembly configured to manage venting on a fuel tank configured to deliver fuel to an internal combustion engine includes a first liquid vapor discriminator (LVD), a main housing, a poppet valve assembly, a pump and an actuator assembly. The first LVD is disposed in the fuel tank. The main housing selectively vents to a carbon canister. The poppet valve assembly has a poppet valve arranged in the main housing. The pump selectively pumps liquid fuel from the main housing. The actuator assembly is at least partially housed in the main housing and includes a cam assembly having a cam shaft that includes a first cam and a second cam. The first cam has a profile that one of opens and closes a poppet valve fluidly coupled to the first LVD. The second cam has a profile that actuates the pump.
Cover member for fuel tank
A flange main body as a cover member for a fuel tank includes a cover plate for closing an opening of the fuel tank, an accommodating tubular portion formed as part of the cover plate so as to extend through the plate in a plate thickness direction, and a rib formed at the cover plate. The accommodating tubular portion and the rib are formed to be non-contiguous.
AN INDOOR SAFETY DEVICE, A LIQUEFIED FUEL GAS SYSTEM AND A VEHICLE
The invention relates to an indoor safety device for a liquefied fuel gas system, the system comprising a storage device storing liquefied fuel gas; a vent member arranged in fluid communication with the gas inside the storage device; and a safety valve arranged to evacuate gas when the pressure inside the storage device exceeds a predetermined first value, the safety device comprising: a vent coupling; a pressure relief valve arranged downstream of the vent coupling; and a conduit for conveying gas, adapted to be connected to the pressure relief valve, the safety device being removably connected to the system by connecting the vent coupling to the vent member, wherein the pressure relief valve is configured to release gas when the pressure inside the storage device exceeds a predetermined second value, lower than the first value.
