CHECK VALVE FOR FUEL TANK AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
There is provided a check valve for a fuel tank, including a cover to be welded to the fuel tank, a case welded to the cover and having a discharge port configured to discharge fuel into the fuel tank, and a valve body configured to open and close the discharge port. The cover includes a positioning portion on an outer circumferential surface. The case includes a vent hole which is arranged upward in a circumferential direction of the case when the check valve is mounted on the fuel tank, and a valve body supporting portion which supports the valve body inside the case. The valve body supporting portion includes a selecting portion for positioning the vent hole, which is provided on a discharge port side at a position away from the positioning portion by a predetermined angle in the circumferential direction of the case.
Insert for a fuel tank filler pipe
Systems are provided for refueling a fuel tank of a motor vehicle via an insert for a filler pipe. In one example, a system may include an insert coupled to an inner circumference of the filler pipe, the insert including a plurality of projections positioned on an inner circumference of the insert. The plurality of projections may include a first projection spanning a first axial length, a second projection spanning a second axial length, and a third projection spanning a third axial length.
Methods and systems for a fuel system
Methods and systems are provided for a fuel system including a fuel filler pipe, an anti-siphoning device, and a fuel tank. In one example, a manufacturing method may include internally welding an anti-siphon device to a fuel filler pipe, applying a metal coating to the welded device and pipe including the internal welds, and externally welding the coated pipe including the device to a fuel tank. The metal coating to the filler pipe, the device and the internal welds may be applied by an electroless plating process but the electroless plating may not be applied to the external welds.
Obstruction design
There is provided an anti-siphon device for securing in a fluid tank inlet. The anti-siphon device comprises a housing, an inlet to the housing adapted to receive a fluid dispensing nozzle, the inlet at a proximal end of the hosing, and an outlet at a distal end of the housing. The anti-siphon device further comprises an obstruction disposed within the housing, where an outer surface of the obstruction and an inner wall of the housing define a first flow passageway. The obstruction comprises, a chamber disposed within the obstruction and configured to receive fluid, an inlet aperture in a first portion of the obstruction, and an outlet aperture in a second portion of the obstruction, where the inlet aperture, chamber, and outlet aperture define a second flow passageway, the second flow passageway being configured such that, in use, fluid can flow from the inlet aperture to the outlet aperture via the second flow passageway, whilst flows from the inlet to the outlet via the first flow passageway.
Anti-siphoning device, particularly for preventing the extraction of fuel from tanks
An anti-siphoning device, particularly for preventing the extraction of fuel from tanks, the anti-siphoning device includes a ring provided with an axial tube and with which an additional ring is associable which is coupled to the tank. The device further includes the first end of a duct which protrudes within the tank associated rotatably with the axial tube and is provided, axially and at the second end, with an ogive which is adapted to guide and direct the flow of the fuel according to a fluid stream. Elements are further provided for spacing apart the ogive from the inner lateral surface of the duct.
Fuel Tank Inlet
A fuel tank inlet assembly comprising a fuel tank inlet (200) defining an opening. The fuel tank inlet is configured for receipt by an aperture of the fuel tank (400). An anti-siphon device (300) is configured for receipt by the fuel tank inlet. The anti-siphon device defines an inlet aperture and comprises an anti-siphon portion configured to inhibit the passage of a siphon tube through the anti-siphon device. The fuel tank inlet comprises a first locking portion (206) and the anti-siphon device defines a second locking portion (307) configured to engage the first locking portion so as to secure the anti-siphon device to the fuel tank inlet such that the anti-siphon device is positioned within the fuel tank inlet entirely beyond the opening.
Fuel tank joint
A fuel tank joint includes a tubular joint body and an entry restriction member. The joint body includes a support portion. The entry restriction member includes a body tube, a groove, a guide, and an engagement hook. The body tube has opposite open ends in the flow direction of fuel. The groove extends upstream from the downstream end of the body tube and is engaged with the support portion. The guide is formed in part of the body tube that includes the downstream end of the body tube and guides the groove to the support portion by contacting the support portion when the body tube is inserted into the joint body. The engagement hook is formed in a downstream end section of the body tube and engaged with the support portion, from a downstream side, in a state in which the groove is engaged with the support portion.

Systems are provided for refueling a fuel tank of a motor vehicle via a funnel including an insert. In one example, a system may include a funnel including an insert coupled to an inner circumference of the funnel, the insert including a plurality of projections positioned on an inner perimeter of the insert. The plurality of projections may include a first projection spanning a first axial length, a second projection spanning a second axial length, and a third projection spanning a third axial length.
