Adjustable reinforcing element for a motor vehicle body for protection in case of a rear impact or side impact
A reinforcing element (10) for a motor vehicle body (1) comprising protection means (30, 31, 40, 41, 42) for protection against an impact at the rear of the vehicle, characterised in that it comprises at least two tubes (20, 22) to be positioned, generally, in the length direction of the vehicle, and a rigid contact surface (30, 31, 70) turned towards the rear, the rigid contact surface (30, 31, 70) and the two tubes (20, 22) being arranged with respect to each other in order to allow the vehicle to move in case of an impact at the rear.
HIGH-PRESSURE HYDROGEN TANK
A high-pressure hydrogen tank includes a metal circular cylinder configured to store high-pressure hydrogen therein, a cap part configured to cover each of opposite end portions of the metal circular cylinder, an outer cylinder surrounding an outer periphery of a circular-cylindrical portion of the metal circular cylinder, and a fastening part configured to fix the cap part to the outer cylinder.
Volume tank
A volume tank that houses a material is provided. The volume tank can include a first bulk head, a second bulk head opposite the first bulk head, a non-symmetrical frustoconical shell section, a cylindrical shell section and a transition section in between the non-symmetrical frustoconical shell section and the cylindrical shell section. The volume tank is configured to be coupled to a portion of a frame of a vehicle, and in a non-limiting embodiment, to a school bus.
Systems and methods for a fuel delivery module helmet of hybrid vehicle
Methods and systems are provided for protective cover. In one example, the protective cover may be configured to protect a fuel delivery module and may include a domed cap. The domed cap may resistant forces exerted on the protective cover and maintain clearance between the domed cap and enclosed electronic ports of the fuel delivery module.
Vehicle Body
A vehicle body includes a floor assembly having a center floor and a rear floor, a pair of side structures connected to both sides of the floor assembly, and a pair of side sills connected to both side edges of the floor assembly, wherein each side sill includes an inner side sill facing an interior of the vehicle body, an outer side sill facing an exterior of the vehicle body, and first and second side sill reinforcements disposed between the inner side sill and the outer side sill, and wherein a rear end portion of the first side sill reinforcement overlaps a front end portion of the second side sill reinforcement.
FUEL SYSTEM MOUNTABLE TO A VEHICLE FRAME RAIL
A fuel system is provided that includes a fuel system frame and in some cases access steps. The frame can be mounted to a vehicle frame rail. Bracket assemblies can be coupled to the fuel system frame at a plurality of positions. The fuel tank can be mounted at neck portions thereof and can be supported on the frame rail between the neck portions, e.g., spaced a distance from the neck portions in a longitudinal direction of the fuel system. The access steps can be non-rectangular to provide a wide stepping portion even if the fuel system includes large tanks. The steps can be directly supported by an outside surface of the tank.
Vehicle lower structure
A vehicle lower structure includes: first and second battery units that are arranged under a floor panel and on both sides in a vehicle width direction of a propeller shaft; right and left floor frames disposed on a lower surface side of the floor panel. The floor frame has a front inclined section and a width increased section. The first and second battery units are arranged between the width increased sections 52 of the right and left floor frames. A battery-related electrical component, a width of each of which in the vehicle width direction is less than a width of each of the first and second battery units, is arranged between the front inclined sections.
Vehicle body structure
A vehicle body structure includes a battery mounting part provided below a floor for mounting at least one battery, first and second cross members to reinforce the floor in front of and behind the battery mounting part, respectively, left and right center side members extending in a front-rear direction and connecting the first cross member and the second cross member, wherein the left and right center side members are spaced apart from each other in a left-right direction and reinforce a portion of the floor, a fuel tank mounting part provided below the floor behind the second cross member, left and right reinforcing frames extending rearward from rear ends of the left and right center side members, respectively, to reinforce the floor, and left and right extension members extending rearward from rear ends of the left and right reinforcing frames, respectively, to reinforce the floor.
MIDFLOOR MODULE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE, CORRESPONDING MOTOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE LATTER
A midfloor module (10, 11) for a motor vehicle has a frame structure (10) with a battery frame (10). The battery frame (10) has multiple battery modules (11), and multiple tank volumes (1, 2, 2+) that can be used optionally for fuel. A motor vehicle that is equipped with such a midfloor module (10, 11) also is provided as well as a method for manufacturing the midfloor module (10,11).
