Trailer for Transporting Fluid
A trailer that includes a tank with an enclosed interior space configured to hold fluid. The trailer can include a chassis that supports the tank and wheels for moving to desired locations. The tank can include planar opposing sides with rounded corners. One or more baffles can be located within the interior space. The baffles restrict the movement of the fluid within the interior space while the trailer is being moved between locations. This restriction reduces the forces that the moving fluid exerts on the tank which could cause damage to the tank that could result in leaks and failure.
Baffled fluid tank with stairway access
A tank for transporting fluids on a truck chassis includes a front wall, side walls, a back wall, a top, and a floor. Interior stairs extend from the floor to an opening in the top to allow stair access into the interior with integrated safety handrails on the fill port cover. Stair toe kicks act as internal transverse baffles to help control fluid motion and surging. The stairs also act as a structural stiffener between longitudinal baffles. Horizontal baffles assist in controlling fluid motion and surging. Formed baffles provide strength and stiffness. A baffle interlocking system improves joint integrity and aids manufacturing. Formed outer skins provide structural strength for the tank. Ports located in front and rear bulkheads may be used for tank ventilation or, depending on local safety codes, as secondary access points. Doors or other access openings may be located in the tank bulkheads to provide better interior access.
Baffle assembly for plastic fuel tank
A baffle assembly of this application has an assembling connector for maintaining a coupled state by means of a vertical binding force F.sub.verticality for locking a baffle plate, which has fluid-passing through-holes, to the side surface of a baffle body, which has fluid-passing through-holes, and lateral tightening force F.sub.horizontality for pressing the same, such that the baffle body and the baffle plate can be assembled in a fitted manner and, particularly, a double locking state is formed by the vertical binding force F.sub.verticality and the lateral tightening force F.sub.horizontality, thereby preventing a change of the coupled state.
Tank system for a motor vehicle having a volume modifying element
A tank system of a motor vehicle includes a volume modifying element, having a compensation volume, which is provided in the inner chamber of the fuel tank and which is used to equalize the vapor pressure. The compensation volume is connected to the surrounding area. The only connection between the volume modifying element and the surrounding area is formed by a storage unit of the gaseous fuel components and the inner chamber of the fuel tank is connected to the surrounding area by a valve unit. The valve unit is normally open when filling the fuel tank and when exceeding or falling below the pressure limits in the inner chamber of the tank, and is otherwise closed. The storage unit is connected to the valve unit. The volume modifying element and the valve unit are designed in such a way that vehicles which are parked for several days do not undergo diurnal losses due to changes in temperature of the surroundings, due to the fact that the vapor pressure equilibrium in the fuel tank can be maintained by the automatic supply and removal of ambient air in the, or from the, volume modifying element as long as the valve unit remains closed.
Method for producing a liquid container, liquid container for a motor vehicle, and structure for reducing sloshing sounds
The invention relates to a method for producing a liquid container (28) for a motor vehicle, having the method steps: providing a wall (14), which is provided in order to delimit an interior chamber (26) of the liquid container (28) for receiving a liquid (34); providing a structure (2), which is provided in order to be arranged in order to reduce sloshing noises in the interior chamber (26) of the liquid container (28), wherein the structure (2) comprises a random arrangement of threads (4) cross-linked with each other and wherein a plurality of the threads (4) of the structure (2) are integrally joined, at least in sections, to at least one or more additional threads (4) of the structure (2), such that a substantially monolithic structure (2) is formed; connecting the structure (2) to the wall (14).
Energy absorbing fluid bladder systems and methods
Various techniques are provided for an energy absorbing fluid bladder. In one example, the fluid bladder includes a bladder body and a perforated baffle structure. The perforated baffle structure can be disposed within the bladder body and configured to mitigate a pulse of fluid (e.g., fuel) moving within the bladder body before the pulse reaches the bladder body. Related methods are also disclosed.
ONE-PIECE COMBINED PLASTIC UREA AND FUEL TANK WITH BAFFLES, ROTOMOULDED WITH A SPECIAL MOLD HEATING SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a plastic tank which provides storing of gasoline and urea liquid called adblue, used in automotive industry, particularly in vehicles which operate with gasoline and which reduces the damage of vehicles, which operate with gasoline, to the environment, in a single tank with two chambers, and relates to a special core heating system designed for production of this tank by using rotation technology.
Fuel tank baffle including vertical and horizontal surfaces for reduction of fuel slosh noise
Methods and systems are provided for a baffle system of a fuel tank. In one example, a baffle system for a fuel tank may include a horizontal section and a vertical section, where the vertical section is arranged perpendicular to the horizontal section and includes a first end coupled to the horizontal section. The vertical section may be rigidly attached to a top surface of the fuel tank via an attachment interface.
MOUNTING STRUCTURE OF FUEL DEVICE
The mounting structure of a fuel device is for mounting the fuel device, which includes a plurality of components, on a baffle plate for suppressing waving of liquid fuel stored in a fuel tank. One of the components of the fuel device is integrally formed, as a mounting portion, with the baffle plate. The remaining components of the fuel device are mounted, as a mounted portion, on the mounting portion of the baffle plate.
Anti-slosh device and method for a liquid container
A liquid container has a plurality of resilient liquid permeable bodies inserted via an aperture and attached to a mounting by a tether, so as to interrupt the free flow of liquid within the container and prevent noise and vibration resulting from the contained fluid sloshing. A method describes how the anti-slosh device can be installed into a liquid container and how the device can be retrofitted to any liquid container.
