A vehicle display device includes a first display section disposed at a vehicle front side of a steering wheel; a second display section disposed in the vicinity of the first display section at a vehicle left side of the first display section, the second display section being oriented toward a driving seat; and a third display section disposed in the vicinity of the first display section at a vehicle right side of the first display section, the third display section being oriented toward the driving seat.
Glare and occluded view compensation for automotive and other applications
Often when there is a glare on a display screen the user may be able to mitigate the glare by tilting or otherwise moving the screen or changing their viewing position. However, when driving a car there are limited options for overcoming glares on the dashboard, especially when you are driving for a long distance in the same direction. Embodiments are directed to eliminating such glare. Other embodiments are related to mixed reality (MR) and filling in occluded areas.
Vehicle Rear Door Indicator System
A vehicle rear door indicator system. The system includes a contact switch disposed along a rear door of a vehicle. Opening the rear door of the vehicle opens an electrical circuit. The electrical circuit is operably connected to a display. When the electrical circuit is opened the display can show the status of the rear door of the vehicle. A motion sensor is disposed along a desired surface of the vehicle such that the motion sensor can detect when the rear door is in motion. The motion sensor is connected to the display. When the motion sensor detects movement of the rear door the display can alert a user via a movement indicator on the display. The vehicle rear door indicator system can be used to alert a user when the rear door of a vehicle is open, closed, or in motion.
Floating Ring Pointer Assembly
Systems and methods are disclosed and include an instrument cluster assembly, which includes a printed circuit board (PCB). A first motor assembly is coupled to the PCB, and the first motor assembly is configured to drive a first screw. A second motor assembly is coupled to the PCB, and the second motor assembly is configured to drive a second screw. The instrument cluster assembly includes a floating ring pointer assembly, and at least one of a position and an orientation of the floating ring pointer assembly is configured to be adjusted in response to at least one of the first motor assembly and the second motor assembly driving the first screw and the second screw, respectively. The instrument cluster assembly includes a display screen configured to generate a display based on at least one of the position and the orientation of the floating ring pointer assembly.
Integrated fastener for instrumentation cluster
An integrated fastener for an instrument cluster assembly, where multiple integrated fasteners are used to connect the front cover of the assembly to the back cover. The instrument cluster assembly includes at least one fastener integrated into the back cover, a first recessed portion formed as part of the back cover, and a separation wall formed as part of the back cover in proximity to the first recessed portion. A first mounting aperture is formed as part of the separation wall, and the integrated fastener attached to the back cover and located in the first mounting aperture when the integrated fastener is in a first configuration. The integrated fastener is detached from the back cover and rotated such that the integrated fastener is placed in a second configuration, securing the front cover to the back cover.

An instrument includes: a liquid-crystal display device including a display element and light sources provided along one side surface extending in the Y direction of the element; a first case having a reference positioning pin, and other positioning pins; and a second case having a reference hole into which the reference positioning pin is inserted, other holes into which the other positioning pins are inserted, a first region in which a first pointer-type instrument is provided, a second region in which a second pointer-type instrument is provided, and a third region in which the liquid crystal display device is provided between the first region and the second region. The third region has an edge corresponding to the position where the side surface 4a is disposed, and the reference hole is provided on the edge side with respect to the center of the third region in the X direction.
Saddle type vehicle
A motorcycle includes an analog display unit, a liquid crystal display unit, a meter circuit board, a communication unit, a housing, and a meter harness. The analog display unit has a dial plate and a pointer. The liquid crystal display unit is a display for displaying vehicle information. The meter circuit board electronically controls contents displayed on the liquid crystal display unit. The communication unit performs the wireless communication with an external communication terminal. The meter circuit board and the communication unit are disposed within the housing. The meter harness supplies the power with at least the analog display unit, the liquid crystal display unit, the meter circuit board, and the communication unit, and they have a common power conduction path at the outside of the housing.
Display control device, display system, and display control method
A display control device is connected to a display device, and the display control device includes a storage unit to store moving object information which is acquired on a first cycle in correlation with time information. A generation unit reads the moving object information stored in the storage unit and generates image data. The image data generated by the generation unit is displayed on a second cycle which is longer than the first cycle. The generation unit calculates the moving object information corresponding to a generation start time of the N-th generated image data on the basis of the moving object information which is stored in the storage unit at times before and after the generation start time and generates the (N+1)-th image data.
Selective lighting for indicia
A method, system, and devices for implementing a selectively lighted instrument cluster are disclosed herein. The aspects employ a light house layer (or collection of light house layers) using a combination of light and dark materials to provide individually lit indicia on a cover layer (i.e. applique layer) of an instrument cluster. The combination of light and dark layers selectively applied prevents light leakage into other non-intended portions on the viewable surface of the instrument cluster.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DISPLAY ARRANGEMENT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE AND MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for operating a display arrangement of a motor vehicle, which includes at least two display devices each with a display surface. A visible display content can be shifted here three-dimensionally between two display planes. A detection and evaluation device of an operator control device carries out: acquisition of an operator control action by a touch-sensitive operator control surface, preferably a pulling and/or shifting gesture, and of its extension direction, and, on the basis of the determined extension direction, determination of a data set which describes the display content, as well as determination of a predetermined shift of a virtual image of the display content from one of the display planes to the other of the display planes.
