The arrangement of the first conducting layer, the second conducting layer and the electroluminescent layer is configured to be operable as a capacitive sensor.
Reflective display apparatus
A reflective display apparatus includes an image display panel including a liquid crystal panel and a backlight unit, a half mirror, and an electrochromic panel arranged in a layered manner. When the image display panel stops operating and power supply to the electrochromic panel is stopped, the half mirror reflects light coming from the rear of a vehicle and the reflected light is directed rearward. The reflected light enables a driver to check a situation behind the vehicle under such conditions.
Vehicular control system
A vehicular control system includes a forward viewing camera that views through the windshield of the vehicle and captures image data. Responsive at least in part to processing, via a processor of a control, of captured image data, other vehicles exterior the vehicle are detected and road curvature of the road along which the vehicle is traveling is determined. Data that is at least in part relevant to a current geographic location of the vehicle is wirelessly communicated from the vehicle to a remote data receiver. The data is derived, at least in part, from processing of captured image data. The data is processed at the remote data receiver to determine information relevant to the vehicle. The remote data receiver receives data from another vehicle and, responsive at least in part to processing of data received from the other vehicle, location and/or movement of the other vehicle may be determined.
VEHICLE INTERIOR TRIM ASSEMBLY CONFIGURED TO FORM A LIGHT PATTERN HAVING AN EMBLEM SHAPE AT THE FRONT OF A TRIM PART SUCH AS AN AIR BAG COVER
A vehicle interior trim assembly and an illuminable emblem assembly is provided. The assembly includes a vehicle interior trim part such as an air bag cover which has at least one opening which defines an emblem pattern. An illumination module including at least one light source is configured to generate visible light rays when energized. A lens including at least one layer is molded in a molding process to have a 3D emblem shape fitted through and matching the at least one opening. The lens has at least one surface-defining portion which is sized and shaped to have the emblem pattern at the front surface of the part. The lens gathers and redirects light rays from the illumination module to generate light in the emblem pattern of substantially uniform intensity through the at least one surface-defining portion and into a passenger compartment of the vehicle.

A head-up display device for a vehicle may include: a light source part configured to generate light; a lens part configured to concentrate the light irradiated from the light source part; a film part configured to make a scattering angle of the light different in horizontal and vertical directions, the light having passed through the lens part; and an image generation part configured to generate image information using the light having passed through the film part.
DECORATIVE RING POINTER CAP ILLUMINATION
A pointer assembly for a vehicle instrument panel includes a pointer arm, a cap, and a shroud. The pointer arm includes a platform portion disposed about an axis or rotation and an arm portion extending outward from the platform portion. The platform portion includes an illuminable perimeter. The cap is secured to the platform portion of the pointer arm inside of the illuminable perimeter. The shroud is secured to the platform portion of the pointer arm outside of the illuminable perimeter, and the illuminable perimeter is visible between an outer perimeter of the cap and an inner perimeter of the shroud.
LIGHT GUIDE WITH CHAPLET TICK MARKS
A gauge assembly includes a gauge surface including at least one graphic, which may be a plurality of graphics defining a scale in a generally circular pattern on the gauge surface. The gauge surface has a viewable side. A light guide has a main body portion disposed adjacent to the gauge surface and corresponding to the shape of the gauge surface. The light guide has a plurality of raised tick marks extending from the main body portion. Each tick mark is viewable via a viewing side of the gauge surface. The light guide includes ends that curve away from the gauge surface to receive light. The light guide is configured to provide illumination to the illuminable graphic(s) and the plurality of tick marks.

A driving assistance device according to an embodiment includes: a target setting unit configured to set a stop target; an acquisition unit configured to acquire a position of a vehicle; and an output information control unit configured to control a display unit to display a first image that instructs a driver to stop the vehicle in a first form when the vehicle is located within a region including the stop target and display the first image in a second form different from the first form when the vehicle is located outside the region.

A projection type display device 1 includes: projection units 11 and 12 that project image light to a projection surface 4; a drive mechanism 13 for controlling a position, on the projection surface, of a projection range of the image light projected by the projection unit 12; and a controller 60 that controls the drive mechanism 13 and changes a length, in one direction, of a range obtained by combining projection ranges of the image light projected by the respective projection units 11 and 12 and a length, in a direction orthogonal to the one direction, of the range, respectively.
