Electronic device
An electronic device including a display device is provided. The display device includes a sharing area, a junction area, and a privacy area. The junction area is positioned between the sharing area and the privacy area. The display device includes a privacy panel. A transmittance of the privacy panel corresponding to the sharing area is greater than a transmittance of the privacy panel corresponding to the junction area, and the transmittance of the privacy panel corresponding to the junction area is greater than a transmittance of the privacy panel corresponding to the privacy area.
A LIGHTING UNIT FOR A VEHICLE DISPLAY AND METHOD THEREOF
A lighting unit for a display apparatus for use in a motor vehicle is disclosed herein. The lighting unit includes a light transmitting panel configured to transmit light rays through to a viewing side of a display apparatus; and at least one light source operable to emit light rays across a breadth of the light transmitting panel. the light transmitting panel further comprises a reflector foil sheet applied to at least two sides of the light transmitting panel with no air gaps therebetween. A vehicle display for mounting within an interior of a motor vehicle comprising such a lighting unit, and a method of optimizing light rays for illuminating a display apparatus for use in a motor vehicle is also disclosed.
Head-up display device and display unit
A pair of first guide lights are displayed side by side adjacent to an HUD display area with emitted light from first light sources, and a pair of second guide lights are displayed at the outer sides of the respective first guide lights with emitted light from second light sources. At least one of the number of lighting lights, the lighting cycle, and the lighting order of the first light sources and the second light sources is changed in accordance with a differential value between the current speed and a speed limit set for a road on which the vehicle is traveling.
LIGHTING DEVICE AND DISPLAY DEVICE
A backlight device 12 includes LEDs 17, an optical member 16 that applies optical effects to light from the LEDs 17 and has a through hole 23 that is through a thickness thereof, and a restricting member 26 having a communication hole 27 that is communicated with the through hole 23. The restricting member 26 is inserted in the through hole 23 to be in contact with an inner surface of the through hole 23 to restrict movement of the optical member 16 along a plate surface of the optical member 16.
CURVED DISPLAY DEVICE
A curved display device includes a main display unit; a corner portion positioned at a corner of the main display unit; a first light blocking member positioned in the main display unit; and a second light blocking member positioned in the corner portion, wherein a first flat shape of the first light blocking member is different from a second flat shape of the second light blocking member.
Display device for a motor vehicle
A display device for a motor vehicle is provided. The display device includes at least one display with a display surface for displaying content via a plurality of pixels. The display device comprises a light-guiding lens with at least one entry surface and an exit surface. During operation of the display device the light emitted from the display surface enters the light-guiding lens through the at least one entry surface and is emitted by an exit surface, such that the content is shown on the exit surface. In one embodiment, the exit surface features a different shape. In another embodiment, the exit surface is a different size than the at least one display surface. In another embodiment, the display device comprises several displays with display surfaces at distances to each other, and the light-guiding lens features merely one exit surface or several exit surfaces directly adjoining each other.
DISPLAY DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
The present disclosure relates to a display device for a vehicle. A display device for a vehicle, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises: a display panel; a backlight unit including a plurality of blocks composed of light sources; a viewing angle adjustment panel including a plurality of liquid crystal layers composed of liquid crystals; and a control unit, wherein the control unit can change, on the basis of the configuration of a predetermined mode of adjusting a viewing angle, the arrangement of liquid crystals arranged in a restricted region of the viewing angle adjustment panel corresponding to a predetermined region of the display panel, and adjust, on the basis of the difference between a preset reference brightness level and the brightness level of the predetermined region according to the configuration of the predetermined mode, the intensity of light emitted from blocks corresponding to the restricted region from among the plurality of blocks. Various other embodiments are possible.
Electronic device, display apparatus, photoelectric conversion apparatus, electronic equipment, illumination apparatus, and moving object
An electronic device including elements arranged on a substrate, each of the elements including an insulating layer, a first electrode, a functional layer, and a second electrode in mentioned order starting from a side closer to the substrate. The insulating layer has an inclined portion that is inclined relative to the substrate. The first electrode has a first portion positioned on the inclined portion and a second portion in contact with the functional layer. The second portion has a smaller inclination angle relative to the substrate than the first portion. A thickness of the functional layer positioned on the first portion in a direction normal to a functional layer surface in contact with the first portion is smaller than a thickness of the functional layer positioned on the second portion in a direction normal to a functional layer surface in contact with the second portion.
