A display apparatus and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The display apparatus provided in a vehicle according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a memory; a display unit displaying one or more data areas on a screen; and a controller controlling the display unit to further display additional data area on the basis of at least one of recognition and identification of a passenger who boards on the vehicle.
GPS-BASED VEHICULAR SPEED LIMITING SYSTEM
The GPS-based vehicular speed limiting system comprises an on board diagnostic (OBD) interface unit and a GPS unit. The OBD interface unit plugs into the OBD-2 (or equivalent) connector inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle and communicates with one or more vehicle computers. The GPS unit receives signals from GPS satellites to determine the current vehicle location, which it may then display in map form utilizing map data stored in memory within the GPS. If the OBD interface unit determines that the vehicle is traveling faster than the posted speed limit, as determined by information stored in the map data and communicated to the OBD interface unit over the wireless link, the OBD interface unit may command the vehicle computers to limit the speed of the vehicle. Implementations relate to interactions, over a wireless communication modality, between an automated assistant of an automobile computer system, and separate client device(s). In some of those implementations, the client device(s) can be paired with the automobile computer system, and the client device(s) and the automobile computer system can include separate instances of an automated assistant, which can be associated with different user accounts. In some additional or alternative implementations, particular actions to be performed by a local application of a client device can be advanced via user interaction with the automobile automated assistant, despite a counterpart to the local application not being installed directly on automobile computer system. For example, despite an automobile computer system not having a third-party messaging application installed, the automobile automated assistant can access requested actions to be performed by the third-party messaging application in order to further a requested action. The automobile computer system can transmit, via the wireless communication modality, content to cause the third-party application to further the requested action.

Image analysis technologies for assessing safety of vehicle operation
Systems and methods for using image analysis techniques to assess unsafe driving conditions by a vehicle operator are discloses. According to aspects, a computing device may access and analyze image data depicting the vehicle operator. In analyzing the image, the computing device may measure certain visible metrics as depicted in the image data and compare the metrics to corresponding threshold values, and may accordingly determine whether the vehicle operator is exhibiting an unsafe driving condition. The computing device may generate and present alerts that indicate any determined unsafe driving condition.
