A display apparatus for a vehicle includes a cockpit part including an opening, a guide part mounted within the cockpit part, a display unit disposed within the cockpit part, moved along the guide part so that the display unit has a curved line-shaped moving path and configured to appear and disappear through the opening, and a driving part configured to provide electric power to the display unit so th

Panel With Active Layer

A panel includes an outer layer and an inner layer. A mask layer is positioned between the outer layer and the inner layer. An active layer is positioned between the mask layer and the inner layer and adjacent to an outer edge of the panel. The active layer extends from the outer edge of the panel toward a central portion of the panel and includes an independently controllable active element configured to limit viewing of the mask layer.

Display device for vehicle

A display device for a vehicle includes a flexible display configured to be mounted in the vehicle. The display device is configured to extend and retract the flexible display to thereby change a size of a screen area of the flexible display. The display device may include a sensor configured to detect the size of the screen area, and a controller configured to, based on the size of the screen area, control a display state of information output through the flexible display.

Operation apparatus for vehicle

Proposed is an operation apparatus for a vehicle that improves visibility and interior aesthetics by appearing/disappearing mechanism of a button. The operation apparatus includes a panel, an operation module capable of moving, through an opening of the panel, between a first position and a second position spaced apart from each other in a front-back direction, a button placed on the operation module, a rotary link rotatably provided on an axis orthogonal to the front-back direction, a drive source for rotating the rotary link, and a cam mechanism having a guide path for inducing an angular motion of the rotary link and, thereby, moving the operation module to the first position or the second position.

DUAL INTEGRATED CONTROL APPARATUS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING OPERATION OF THE SAME
20240059146 · 2024-02-22 ·

The present disclosure relates to a dual integrated control apparatus for an autonomous vehicle and a method of controlling an operation of the same, that allow a user to control operations of two joystick levers based on whether the joystick levers are touched and on a change in driving modes of a vehicle in a configuration in which a dual integrated control apparatus having the joystick levers is provided in the autonomous vehicle.

Deployable workstation and vehicle

A workstation includes a dashboard for a vehicle having a recess on an upper surface, a first display screen extending from the dashboard, and a second display screen that is deployable between a stowed position within the recess in the dashboard and an extended deployed position aligned proximate to the first display screen. A control arm operatively couples the first display screen with the second display screen, wherein the control arm pivots about a pivot axis to deploy the second display screen proximate to the first display screen. The workstation has a deployable desk that pivots between a stowed position proximate to the dashboard and an extended deployed position forward of the dashboard, wherein the desk in the stowed position covers the second display screen.

Head-up display for vehicles and head-up display system for vehicles

A vehicular head-up display that is provided in a vehicle and is configured to display a predetermined image to an occupant of the vehicle includes: a housing that has an opening upward; a transparent cover that covers the opening of the housing; a picture generation section; and a cleaner that is configured to clean an outer surface of the transparent cover. The picture generation section includes: a picture generation unit that is provided inside an accommodation portion formed with the housing and the transparent cover in order to emit light for generating the predetermined image; and a reflection unit that reflects light so that light emitted by the picture generation unit heads toward a windshield.

AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a vehicle for maneuvering a passenger to a destination autonomously. The vehicle includes one or more computing devices and a set of user input buttons for communicating requests to stop the vehicle and to initiate a trip to the destination with the one or more computing devices. The set of user input buttons consisting essentially of a dual-purpose button and an emergency stopping button different from the dual-purpose button configured to stop the vehicle. The dual-purpose button has a first purpose for communicating a request to initiate the trip to the destination and a second purpose for communicating a request to pull the vehicle over and stop the vehicle. The vehicle has no steering wheel and no user inputs for the steering, acceleration, and deceleration of the vehicle other than the set of user input buttons.

GPS-BASED VEHICULAR SPEED LIMITING SYSTEM
20190371169 · 2019-12-05 ·

The GPS-based vehicular speed limiting system comprises an on board diagnostic (OBD) interface unit and a GPS unit. The OBD interface unit plugs into the OBD-2 (or equivalent) connector inside the passenger compartment of a vehicle and communicates with one or more vehicle computers. The GPS unit receives signals from GPS satellites to determine the current vehicle location, which it may then display in map form utilizing map data stored in memory within the GPS. If the OBD interface unit determines that the vehicle is traveling faster than the posted speed limit, as determined by information stored in the map data and communicated to the OBD interface unit over the wireless link, the OBD interface unit may command the vehicle computers to limit the speed of the vehicle. Unplugging the OBD interface unit may result in a notification being sent to a smartphone
