DISPLAY APPARATUS
A display apparatus is configured to enable a cover to be firmly fixed with a compact structure. The display apparatus includes: a one-side cover 16 that covers a casing 15 from one of front and rear sides; an other-side cover 17 that covers the casing 15 from the other of the front and rear sides; and a cover member 18 that covers the side surface of the one-side cover 16 from the periphery, wherein the one-side cover 16 includes a fitting claw 22 protruding to the other-side cover 17 side, the other-side cover 17 includes a fitting section 32 into which the fitting claw 22 is to be inserted, the cover member 18 includes an engagement hole 50 that engages with the fitting claw 22 in the fitting section 32, and the casing 15 receives the fitting section 32 from the inside of the other-side cover 17 to maintain an engaged state of the fitting claw 22 with the engagement hole 50.
ON-VEHICLE DISPLAY SYSTEM
The disclosure discloses an on-vehicle display system including an instrument panel and a display device, where the instrument panel is provided with a protection housing, which is a curved structure recessed toward the instrument panel; the display device is configured to emit light rays of a displayed image; and the protection housing is configured to transmit light exiting from the instrument panel, and to receive and reflect the light rays exiting from the display device to eyes of a driver.
Insurence Tracking
A system/method adapted to aggregate vehicle or operator data for reconstructing a road event for authority purposes, said system comprising: a storage device with stored data (information) collected from an aggregating device (controller) in communication with at least one of various sensors, data capturing means, image capturing means, or metrics; a reporting module that evaluates collected information stored in the storage device to determine a driving behavior of a driver associated with the vehicle, and determine whether the driving behavior includes one or more triggering events that are one or more of operator-defined or authority-defined for communication to at least one of an authority source; a communication module enabling querying for at least one of said information by at least one of an authority source for reconstructing the road event of interest upon a threshold-grade road event triggered and relaying the reconstructed road event to at least one of an authority source for at least one of the authority purpose; wherein the authorized source is at least one of a Department of Motor Vehicle, insurance company, vehicle manufacturer, or law enforcement; and wherein the authority purpose is at least one of a revocation of license, filing of accident report, increasing or lowering insurance premiums, issuing a violation, or issuing a warning in real-time or postponed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A VEHICLE ZONE-DETERMINED RECONFIGURABLE DISPLAY
Methods and systems for a heads-up configurable vehicle dash display are provided. Specifically, a configurable dash may comprise one or more displays that are capable of receiving input from a user. At least one of these displays may be configured to present a plurality of custom applications that, when manipulated by at least one user, are adapted to control and/or monitor functions associated with a vehicle and/or associated peripheral devices. It is anticipated that the function and appearance of the plurality of custom applications may be altered via user and/or processor input.
Display audio device
This DA device is installed in a vehicle and works in tandem with a portable information terminal in outputting information, said DA device being provided with: a main body section; a display section that can be opened and closed relative to the main body section; a holder part for holding the information terminal, said holder part being connected to the back surface of the display section and opening and closing together with the display section; an electric circuit that is housed in the main body section; and an opening and closing mechanism for switching the display section between an open state in which the holder part is exposed to the outside of a case and a closed state in which the holder part is inside the case.
Cold formed 3D product and processes using vacuum chuck
The disclosure relates to vacuum forming methods, apparatuses and resulting displays that represent improvements in various key areas. The methods, for example, greatly improve manufacturing throughput through reduced curing times. The methods further facilitate improved control of glass shape to a targeted shape and improved control of bond line thickness, which result in improved survivability and long-term reliability, for example.
VEHICLE DISPLAY DEVICE WITH PROTECTIVE FILM TO CONTAIN GLASS FRAGMENTS
A vehicle display device comprises: a housing forming an opening to an interior; a display module positioned in the interior of the housing, the display module including a substrate; a cover glass that covers the opening to the interior of the housing, the cover glass at least partially bounded by an exposed glass edge, the cover glass attached to the substrate by an optically clear adhesive, wherein an outermost region of the cover glass extends beyond an edge of the substrate; and a protective film positioned along at least part of the exposed glass edge, the protective film attached to an inside of the cover glass at the outermost region.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS DURING ASSEMBLY OF GLASS ARTICLES WITH DISPLAYS
Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a method of assembling a glass article. The glass article includes a display module and a glass sheet. In the method, an electronic ribbon connector is positioned in a vertical position. The electronic ribbon connector has a first end connected to the display module and a second free end. The display module is attached to the glass sheet. Adhesive is applied to the glass sheet around the display module. A frame is arranged over the glass sheet. The frame has a depending edge and a slot positioned adjacent to the depending edge. The frame is moved towards the glass sheet such that the second free end of the electronic ribbon connector extends through the slot and such that the depending edge of the frame contacts the adhesive.
