PRESSURE COMPENSATOR FOR METER HOUSING
A seal for a meter housing with an interior portion is disclosed. The seal includes an axially inner surface configured to face the interior portion of the meter housing and an axially outer surface configured to face away from the interior portion of the meter housing. At least one of the axially inner surface and the axially outer surface is configured to seal against a portion of the housing. The seal further includes a diaphragm defined axially intermediate the axially inner surface and the axially outer surface and a fluid passageway defined through a portion of the diaphragm. The fluid passageway is configured to move between an open position and a closed position in response to a pressure differential between the interior portion of the housing and an exterior portion.
Operating device
An operating device includes a knob, which is formed into a rod form, and a resilient body, which is formed into a ring form. Position limiting parts, which limit a position of the resilient body, include at least one primary rib, which is placed on one side of the resilient body in a longitudinal direction of the knob, and at least one secondary rib, which is placed on another side of the resilient body in the longitudinal direction of the knob. The at least one primary rib and the at least one secondary rib radially outwardly project from the outer peripheral portion of the knob within an extent that does not extend beyond the resilient body.

An instrument cluster assembly having a biasable member for reducing noise produced by vibration, where the instrument cluster assembly includes a light housing, a perimeter sidewall formed as part of the light housing, and at least one biasable member integrally formed with the perimeter sidewall. A mask is selectively connected to the light housing, and an inner perimeter sidewall is formed as part of the mask. The biasable member includes a base portion formed with the perimeter sidewall, and a flange portion integrally formed with the base portion. At least a portion of the flange portion is in contact with the inner perimeter sidewall of the mask, such that the flange portion deflects to absorb vibration between the light housing and the mask.

Disclosed is a display device mounted on a vehicle, the display device including a display module, a back cover surrounding side and rear surfaces of the display module, the back cover having a cover bracket formed by protruding from a lower side of a rear surface thereof, a printed circuit board connected to the display module and having one surface covered by the cover bracket, and a bottom cover covering the other surface of the printed circuit board and coupled to the cover bracket, wherein the printed circuit board is positioned vertical to the rear surface of the back cover, whereby watertight performance of the display device may be improved by covering a printed circuit board through a cover bracket formed to protrude from a back cover and a bottom cover coupled to the cover bracket.

Pressure Compensator for Meter Housing
Disclosed is a pressure compensator for a housing compartment that includes a housing wall that has an opening between an interior zone that is inside of the compartment and an exterior zone that is outside of the compartment. The housing wall also includes an annulus that defines one portion of the opening. A seal engages the annulus and is seated in the opening to seal the opening, the seal including a flexible diaphragm having a normally closed slit therethrough. The seal is configured so that the diaphragm is normally compressed in a first direction that urges the slit closed when the seal is engaged with the annulus. The diaphragm is arranged so that a pressure difference between the interior zone and exterior zone urges the diaphragm to flex in a direction for opening a slit thus creates a pathway between the interior zone and the exterior zone, thereby reducing the pressure difference.

A display apparatus for a vehicle includes a cockpit part including an opening, a guide part mounted within the cockpit part, a display unit disposed within the cockpit part, moved along the guide part so that the display unit has a curved line-shaped moving path and configured to appear and disappear through the opening, and a driving part configured to provide electric power to the display unit so that the display unit is moved on the guide part.
Method for Integrating an Electrically Activatable Display Element in an Outer Skin of a Vehicle Body, and Motor Vehicle
A method integrates an electrically activatable display element in a body outer skin of a motor vehicle body or a motor vehicle body element. The method: a) provides a body structure comprising the body outer skin, the body outer skin having an outer surface facing the vehicle outer side and an inner surface facing the vehicle inner side; b) introduces at least one viewing window aperture into the body outer skin; c) deposits at least one adhesive web on the inner surface of the body outer skin in the region of the edges of the at least one viewing window aperture; d) applies the display element to the adhesive web; e) applies a potting compound, from the vehicle inner side, to the display element and to that region of the inner surface of the body outer skin that surrounds the display element, in order to seal the display element with respect to the surrounding area on the vehicle inner side; f) applies a transparent film, from the body outer side, to the outer surface of the body outer skin at least in the region of the at least one aperture, so as to sealingly surround the edges of the aperture or f) pots the at least one body aperture with a transparent potting compound, in order to sealingly close the body aperture and f) sands and polishes the hardened transparent potting compound; g) connects the display element to an electrical energy supply and control device.
