HYBRID AUTOMOBILE
In a hybrid automobile in which a first motor, an engine, and a drive shaft coupled to an axle are connected respectively to a sun gear, a carrier, and a ring gear of a planetary gear set and a second motor is connected to the drive shaft, during a predetermined travel period in which the engine is operative and respective gates of a first inverter and a second inverter used to drive the first motor and the second motor are both blocked, the engine is controlled such that the first motor rotates at a predetermined rotation speed, and a boost converter is controlled such that a voltage of a drive voltage system power line reaches a target voltage corresponding to an accelerator depression amount.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COORDINATED OPERATION OF INTEGRATED STARTER GENERATOR AND POWER CONVERTER IN A VEHICLE
A vehicle includes a hybrid powertrain with a motor/generator electrically coupled to a high-voltage bus to provide propulsion. The vehicle also includes an integrated starter/generator electrically copulated to a low-voltage bus and configured to start the engine. A vehicle power system includes a power converter electrically coupled between the high-voltage bus and the low-voltage bus. During engine start events, operation of the integrated starter/generator is coordinated with operation of the power converter to reduce voltage sag on the low-voltage bus. An increase rate of current supplied to the integrated starter/generator is limited such that a current output of the power converter does not saturate at a maximum current output for a period of time after initiating the engine start event.
POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM, TRANSPORTATION APPARATUS, AND POWER TRANSMISSION METHOD
A power supply system includes a first energy storage, a second energy storage, a power transmission circuit, and circuitry. An electrical load is connected to the first energy storage and to the second energy storage via the power transmission circuit. The circuitry is configured to control the power transmission circuit such that the first energy storage charges the second energy storage and supplies electric power to the electrical load according to a demand of the electrical load when a charge rate in the second energy storage is lower than or equal to a first threshold. The circuitry is configured to control the power transmission circuit such that at least the first energy storage among the first energy storage and the second energy storage supplies electric power to the electrical load according to the demand when the charge rate is higher than the first threshold.
Vehicle
Disclosed is a hybrid work vehicle capable of smooth work travel using a work device with a low output internal combustion engine, while avoiding battery exhaustion. The vehicle includes an internal combustion engine that supplies drive power to a travel device and a work device via power transmission means, a motor generator that is driven by a battery, a load information generation part that generates load information representing a sudden increase in rotational load, an assist characteristic determination part that determines motor assist characteristics defining an assist amount and an assist time period of assist control based on load information, and a motor control unit that controls the motor generator based on the motor assist characteristics.
Control system for hybrid vehicle
An upper limit charging rate is limited when a speed position of an automatic transmission is high as compared to when the speed position is low, so an engine is hard to enter a high torque state even when the speed position is high. Thus, it is possible to suppress vibrations and noise that tend to occur at the time when the engine is driven at a low rotation speed and high torque. On the other hand, the upper limit charging rate increases when the speed position is low as compared to when the speed position is high, with the result that a charging rate increases, so it is possible to keep a state of charge of a battery within an appropriate range.
Electric power supply control device and electric power supply control method
Provided is an electric power supply control device for an electric power supply apparatus including a plurality of storage batteries and an electric power generator performing charging of the plurality of storage batteries, the electric power supply control device controlling a parallel connection between the plurality of storage batteries. Voltage adjustment by one of a) charging processing by electric power feeding from the electric power generator to the storage battery having the lowest output voltage among the plurality of storage batteries and b) discharging processing by electric power feeding from the storage battery having the highest output voltage among the plurality of storage batteries to a load circuit connected to the storage battery having the highest output voltage is performed. Parallel connection is performed in a case where output voltage difference between the plurality of storage batteries becomes equal to or less than a previously-determined threshold.
Off-axis motor with hybrid transmission method and system
A system and method for modifying a transmission in a gasoline-electric hybrid vehicle to couple the transmission to an off-axis electric motor. The transmission includes a motor-driven gear that replaces or modifies an engine-driven reverse gear. The motor-driven gear is hard-splined to an output shaft of the transmission. An electric motor is coupled to the output shaft of the transmission via the motor-driven gear. The electric motor may thus be oriented along an axis that differs from the axis of the transmission's output shaft.
Load Based Engine Start-Stop Control
An engine control system for a vehicle includes a controller that initiates a start of the engine in response to a state of charge (SOC) of a battery falling below an engine start threshold, initiates a stop of the engine in response to the SOC exceeding an engine stop threshold, and adjusts a value of the engine start threshold based on whether a load remote from the vehicle is drawing power from the battery.
Work vehicle and method of controlling work vehicle
A power transmission includes first and second clutches for switching a transmission path for a driving force. A work vehicle includes a clutch controlling unit and an engine controlling unit. The clutch controlling unit is configured to determine which of first and second modes the transmission path is switched into based on which of a range of greater than or equal to a mode switching threshold and a range of less than or equal to the mode switching threshold a speed ratio parameter falls into, and is configured to output a clutch command signal causing one of the first and second clutches to be engaged corresponding to the determined mode. The engine controlling unit is configured to apply an offset to a rotational speed of an input shaft such that after switching into the determined mode, the speed ratio parameter deviates from the mode switching threshold in the switched mode.
Hybrid electric vehicle and method for controlling a powertrain therein
A method for controlling a hybrid electric powertrain includes, in response to a request to increase a powertrain braking force on at least one of a plurality of traction wheels, (i) commanding at least one clutch to increase a gear ratio of a transmission, and (ii) during clutch stroke, commanding an electric machine to act as a generator such that the electric machine applies a braking force to at least one of the traction wheels.
