ELECTRIC VEHICLE

The electric vehicle according to the present disclosure is configured to be able to select a traveling mode between an MT mode in which an electric motor is controlled with torque characteristics like an MT vehicle having a manual transmission and an internal combustion engine, and an EV mode in which the electric motor is controlled with normal torque characteristics. The controller of the electric vehicle controls the electric motor in the MT mode such that responsiveness of the motor torque with respect to a change in the operation amount of the accelerator pedal is lower than in the EV mode.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE, CONTROL UNIT AND MOTOR VEHICLE
20210309114 · 2021-10-07 ·

A method for operating a motor vehicle having multiple drive wheels and multiple drive machines, each drive machines being an electric machine and being allocated to a drive wheel. The method includes: acquiring a total setpoint drive torque; acquiring a current vehicle driving speed, a current steering angle, and optionally, the wheel loads of all drive wheels; determining wheel-individual movement speeds of the drive wheels over the roadway based on the current vehicle driving speed, the current steering angle, a known chassis geometry of the motor vehicle, and optionally, the wheel loads; determining a setpoint wheel speed for each drive wheel based on the determined movement speeds, and distributing the total setpoint drive torque to all drive wheels such that an actual curve path deviates from a setpoint curve path specified by the steering angle; actuating each drive machine to adjust the setpoint wheel speed at the respective drive wheel.

VEHICLE CONTROLLING APPARATUS

A vehicle controlling apparatus includes first and second slip determining units, first and second slip controllers, and a target torque corrector. The first slip controller is configured to maintain a slip rate of a first drive wheel at a predetermined slip rate, in a case where an execution condition of a first slip control is determined by the first slip determining unit as being satisfied. The second slip controller is configured to maintain a slip rate of a second drive wheel at a predetermined slip rate, in a case where an execution condition of a second slip control is determined by the second slip determining unit as being satisfied. The target torque corrector is configured to decrease a target torque of a second motor, in a case where the execution condition of the first slip control is satisfied and where the execution condition of the second slip control is unsatisfied.

MODULAR ELECTRIC WHEEL ASSEMBLY FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE
20210284010 · 2021-09-16 ·

A modular electric wheel assembly includes integral/in-built acceleration and braking componentry and/or steering and suspension componentry allowing for the modular application thereof. Each modular wheel assembly may receive drive control data from various sensors (such as accelerator and brake pedal position sensors, steering column rotational offset sensors and the like), vehicle control systems or the like so as to be able to independently drive, brake, steer and/or provide active suspension for the vehicle. The wheel assemblies may communicate with each other across a wheel assembly vehicular network, wherein a master wheel assembly may receive drive control data and control the slave wheel assemblies accordingly. The modular wheel assemblies may further communicate with each other to receive various sensor data, including rotational speed sensor data so as to be able to detect loss of traction events and the like so as to substantially autonomously take remedial traction control action.

Mobility Device

A powered balancing mobility device that can provide the user the ability to safely navigate expected environments of daily living including the ability to maneuver in confined spaces and to climb curbs, stairs, and other obstacles, and to travel safely and comfortably in vehicles. The mobility device can provide elevated, balanced travel.

A trailer includes a battery and an axle or a tandem axle with wheels driven by way of electric motors. The battery supplies electricity to the electric motors during trailer travel, and a sensor detects forces on a coupling of the trailer in at least one of the following directions: longitudinal direction of the trailer and/or transverse direction of the trailer and/or perpendicular direction, and a controller controls the electric motors, so that a minimum and/or a maximum limit value is adhered to.

Systems for the aggregation of data with an electrically motorized vehicle

A system, method, and device for operations of an electrically motorized vehicle. The vehicle can utilize an electrically motorized wheel to convert a non-motorized wheeled vehicle to an electrically motorized wheeled vehicle. One system includes a server in communication with the device of each of a plurality of electrically motorized wheels, the server operable to track a position of each of the electrically motorized wheels and communicate the position thereof to a transportation network.

Dynamic control for light electric vehicles

A method for dynamic control of an electric vehicle operable based on a throttle value received from a throttle and a default throttle map correlating default output values with throttle values, the method including: determining a user parameter; detecting a condition indicative of perturbation; in response to detecting the condition indicative of perturbation, determining a replacement output value for a first throttle value based on the user parameter; and controlling vehicle operation to meet the replacement output value in response to receipt of the first throttle value.

Light electric vehicle that supports the weight of a user
