In-vehicle-mounted structure
An in-vehicle-mounted structure in which a drive unit is mounted on a vehicle equipped with an engine. The drive unit includes a drive motor and a transmission. The drive motor and the transmission are connected in series in a width direction of the vehicle. An exhaust pipe of the engine is extended to pass adjacent the transmission in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The transmission includes a coolant flow channel through which flows coolant for cooling lubricating oil that lubricates a speed change mechanism inside the transmission. The coolant flow channel is positioned to face the exhaust pipe.
Battery electric vehicle temperature-regulation system
An actuated valveless architecture system includes a first screw pump, a second screw pump, and a plurality of check valves. The plurality of check valves is fluidically coupled with at least one of the first screw pump and the second screw pump. The plurality of check valves is configured to define a battery loop to regulate temperature of the battery system and a drivetrain loop to regulate temperature of the drive system.
Front end motor-generator system and hybrid electric vehicle operating method
A system and method integrate electrification of vehicle accessories conventionally driven by an internal combustion engine in which an electric motor is coupled to a common accessory drive that drive a plurality of accessories, such as a power steering pump, an air conditioning compressor, an air compressor, a thermodynamic heater and/or a coolant pump. The integrated electrified accessory unit preferably has the electric motor, accessory drive and accessories arranged in a common housing which is configured to be mounted to a chassis frame rail of the vehicle, the common housing including wall penetrations which facilitate rapid connection of the accessories to external lines of the vehicle.
Apparatus and methods for an electric vehicle
Aspects of the present invention relate to a control system, comprising one or more controller for an electric vehicle. The control system comprises input means to receive a heat request signal indicative of a request for heating of one or more modules of the vehicle, and a temperature signal indicative of a temperature of a transmission associated with a traction electric machine of the vehicle. The control system further comprises output means to output a control signal for causing a heat exchanger associated with the transmission to output heat for the one or more modules of the vehicle. The control system can determine transmission heating power in dependence on the temperature signal, and can compare the transmission heating power and electric heating power for the request for heating.
Electric vehicle control device and method for controlling electric vehicle control device
An electric vehicle control device that controls a vehicle traveling via a transmission coupled to a plurality of electric motors as a drive source, the electric vehicle control device including: a controller configured to control a first electric motor and a second electric motor that are in contact with a first transmission and a second transmission incorporating a liquid medium, respectively, in which in a heating period in which the first transmission or the second transmission is heated, the controller drives and controls one of the first electric motor and the second electric motor with a powering torque obtained by increasing a heating component torque to a required torque of the electric motor, and controls an other of the first electric motor and the second electric motor with a torque obtained by subtracting the heating component torque from the required torque of the electric motor.
