VIRTUAL MANUAL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE
A virtual manual transmission system for an electric vehicle for simulating the behavior of a vehicle having a manual transmission by controlling a motor while protecting an electric storage device. A controller is configured to: change torque of the motor when a virtual manual shifting is executed by operating a clutch device, an accelerator device, and a shifting device; and reduce a regulation on a change rate of the torque of the motor or an input/output power to/from the electric storage device.
BATTERY HEATING SYSTEM
AC current heating of a battery is performed using a half-bridge based quasi-resonant circuit.
THERMAL RUNAWAY DETECTION METHODS AND WARNING SYSTEMS
A method for detecting thermal runaway of a cell includes: positioning a battery pack having multiple cells in an automobile vehicle; measuring a cell voltage of the multiple cells at a predetermined sample rate; and identifying if the cell voltage decreases and modulates coincident with a cell surface temperature increase indicating initiation of a cell short.
POWER BATTERY HEATING SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD AND CONTROL CIRCUIT THEREOF
The present application provide a control method of a power battery heating system. The method includes: controlling all upper bridge arms of a first bridge arm group and all lower bridge arms of a second bridge arm group to be turned on, and all lower bridge arms of the first bridge arm group and all upper bridge arms of the second bridge arm group to be turned off, so as to form a first loop; controlling all the lower bridge arms of the first bridge arm group and all the upper bridge arms of the second bridge arm group to be turned on, and all the upper bridge arms of the first bridge arm group and all the lower bridge arms of the second bridge arm group to be turned off, so as to form a second loop. The method is used to heat the power battery.
System and method for managing vehicle charging stations
A system and method for managing vehicle charging stations such that when at least two of a plurality of electric vehicle charging stations (also known as electric vehicle service equipment, or EVSE) occupied with vehicles awaiting a charge, the present system manages the charging of individual vehicles in cases where the aggregated demand for charging exceeds the capacity of the circuits supplying the plurality of EVSE. By cycling so that only a few of the vehicles are charging at a time, the demand on the circuits is kept below a predetermined limit. In cases where a load shedding event is in progress, the limit can be further reduced. In cases where the cost of electricity is varying dynamically, the system considers a driver's explicit charging requirements (if any) and preferences for opportunistic charging when the price of electricity is not too high.
Method for Increasing Safety During Charging of a Vehicle Battery
A computer-implemented method for increasing safety during charging of a vehicle battery of a vehicle by a charging station, the method comprising the steps of calculating a forecast value for a maximum safe charging current by the controller of the vehicle based on sensor data generated by sensors of the vehicle and adjusting the charging current provided by the charging station in response to the forecast value of a maximum safe charging current.
THERMAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
A thermal management system (270) for rechargeable secondary batteries having an electrically insulating material (262) lining the interior of a metal case (260). One or more cell packs (24) made of individual cells (12) arranged within end frames (220) is disposed in the metal case (260). A thermally conductive granular filler (264) occupies the interstices (264A) between the individual cells (12) and the space between the cell pack and the electrically insulating material liner (262). The thermally conductive filler (264) decreases the thermal impedance from the cell pack (24) to the exterior surface of the metal case (260) to reduce cell pack temperature and increase battery life
ELECTRIC POWER DEVICE, DISPLAY DEVICE, CHARGING RATE CALCULATION METHOD, AND MEMORY MEDIUM
In an electric power device and a charging rate calculation method according to the present invention, a control unit: calculates a sum total (FCC) of respective full charging capacities of a plurality of detachable/attachable batteries; calculates a sum total (RC) of respective present charging capacities of the plurality of detachable/attachable batteries; and calculates an RSOC, which is an overall state of charge (SOC) of the plurality of detachable/attachable batteries, on the basis of the calculated sum total (FCC) of full charging capacities and the calculated sum total (RC) of present charging capacities.
VEHICLE POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM
A vehicle power supply system, being mounted on a vehicle, includes: a main power supply system including a main low-voltage power supply and a normal load; and a backup power supply system including a backup low-voltage power supply and an emergency important load and connected to the main power supply system. A backup power supply control device of the backup power supply system is configured to execute a backup low-voltage power supply state estimation processing, and output a signal indicating that the backup low-voltage power supply is in a state allowing supplying electric power for operating the emergency important load based on an estimation result of the backup low-voltage power supply state estimation processing, in a case in which the state of the vehicle does not satisfy a predetermined condition.
ELECTRIFIED TRACTOR
An electrified tractor includes a vehicle body, a working machine, an electric motor, a battery, an inverter that controls input-output electric power of the battery. The electrified tractor includes a control device that controls the inverter. The control device executes a restriction process, a charging rate calculation process and a relaxation process. In the restriction process, the control device controls the inverter such that the input and output of the battery is restricted within a prescribed electric power range, when a state of the battery satisfies a restriction condition. In the charging rate calculation process, the control device calculates a charging rate of the battery when it is assumed that a work is finished in a farming field, as an estimated charging rate. In the relaxation process, the control device expands the prescribed electric power range, when the estimated charging rate is higher than a first prescribed charging rate.
