An electronic control unit (ECU) includes an image processor for processing image data captured by the camera. Image data captured by the camera is processed at the ECU for monitoring the driver of the vehicle.

The target position is chosen here such that a movement space delimited by the at least one interior element is increased for access to and/or exit for the occupant.
