A system for controlling a vehicle includes: an occupant gaze recognition unit to recognize a gaze of an occupant in the vehicle; a point of interest determination unit to determine the point of interest among an external object visible through a side window of the vehicle based on the gaze of the occupant; and a seat position control unit to change a seat position of the occupant to enable a continuous stare at the point of interest according to a movement of the vehicle.

LONGITUDINAL ADJUSTER AND VEHICLE SEAT
A longitudinal adjuster for a vehicle seat may have a first rail and a second rail. The rails may mutually engage around each other to form an inner channel. A spindle nut may be supported by the second rail and a spindle, operationally connected to the spindle nut, may be arranged in the inner channel. In one end region of the first rail, a screw drive driven by a motor and interacting with the spindle may be arranged. The screw drive may be enclosed by a housing. The housing may have at least one cylindrical bearing portion for bearing a worm wheel connected to the spindle. The housing may also at least one step adjoining the cylindrical bearing portion. The step may be designed to support the worm wheel in the event of a crash. A vehicle seat having the longitudinal adjuster is also provided.

A vehicle includes a chassis defining a longitudinal axis, a cab coupled to the chassis, a cargo body coupled to the chassis and positioned rearward of the cab, and a driver seat disposed within the cab. The cab has a first door with a first window and a second door with a second window. When the driver seat is in a position that accommodates an operator being in the 95.sup.th male height percentile, the operator within the driver seat can see out of (i) the first window at a first angle relative to a forward looking direction that is parallel with the longitudinal axis and (ii) the second window at a second angle relative to the forward looking direction. Each of the first angle and the second angle is at least 95 degrees.

The vehicle includes a seat and a base. The seat is arranged above the high-voltage electric component and includes a leg portion. The base is fixed to the lower floor and is arranged on an inside in a vehicle width direction. The leg portion includes: a first leg portion that is fixed to the upper floor; and a second leg portion that is fixed to the base.

The present invention provides a powered rail apparatus for a vehicular seat. A stationary rail is mounted to a floor panel so as to be hidden, and a movable rail, which is to be assembled with a seat, is coupled to the stationary rail via a rack-and-pinion mechanism so as to be moved anteroposteriorly. A power cable, which is configured to supply the power required to move the movable rail anteroposteriorly, to a motor, is disposed in the stationary rail so as to be hidden and so as to be moved together with the movable rail such that the movable rail can be smoothly moved forwards and backwards. Since the stationary rail and the power cable are embedded in the floor panel, it is possible to realize planarization of the floor panel.

The hinge system includes a counterbalance shaft, and the rotatable armrest may be rotatable about the counterbalance shaft and fixed in a first position, a second position, and a third position. In the first position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a folded down position, in the second position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a horizontally forward-facing position, and in the third position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a horizontally backward-facing position.

A motor vehicle comprises two front seats aligned in a transverse direction, and at least one rear seat. Said at least one rear seat comprises a seating portion with a seating portion frame, a backrest with a backrest frame. The backrest frame is pivotable relative to the seating portion frame about a first transverse axis, between at least one deployed position for receiving an occupant of the seat and a folded position in which the backrest frame is folded down to face the seating portion frame. Said at least one rear seat is adapted to have a configuration in which said at least one rear seat is in said folded position and the backrest of said at least one rear seat extends at least partly between the two front seats.
