The rotatable armrest includes a case, a knob system, and a hinge system, in which the knob system and the hinge system are mounted in the case. The hinge system includes a counterbalance shaft, and the rotatable armrest may be rotatable about the counterbalance shaft and fixed in a first position, a second position, and a third position. In the first position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a folded down position, in the second position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a horizontally forward-facing position, and in the third position, the rotatable armrest is positioned in a horizontally backward-facing position.

The backrest frame and seat pan frame are configured to move simultaneously between at least a reclined configuration and a berth configuration through pivoting motion about the first and second fixed pivots and about the first and second locations. The length of the backrest linear actuator is substantially the same in the reclined configuration and in the berth configuration.

The guide has a shape extending linearly along a diameter of a virtual circle, the virtual circle having length twice the distance between the fixing end and the rotating end as its radius, and having the fixing end as its center. The moving body moves the rotating plate along the guide while relatively rotating the rotating plate with respect to the moving body.
