A seat assembly includes a five-bar linkage for moving the seat assembly between a plurality of positions in an automotive vehicle. A second link extends axially between the first and second pivot points. A third link is defined by a lower seat back portion and a seat cushion and extends between the first pivot point and a fifth pivot point disposed adjacent a front portion of the seat cushion. A fourth link is rotatably coupled to the third link at the fifth pivot point and the seat base at a fourth pivot point. The seat assembly is capable of moving to both a pitched easy entry position and a stow flat to floor position.

A seat base pivot connection is formed between the link arm and the seat base. A link arm and backrest pivot connection is formed between the link arm and the backrest and the moveable track.

A seat assembly for an emergency vehicle can include an adjustable base seat and backrest, a tank support assembly configured to selectively secure tanks of different sizes, and a tank clamp assembly configured to selectively secure tanks having bottom tank ends of different configurations. Slidably adjusting the base seat can cause adjustment of a recline angle of the backrest. One or more pads on the seat can be removable. The tank support assembly can include first and second tank securements and a locking member configured to rotate to selectively dispose the first or second tank securement to secure a tank. The tank clamp assembly can include a fixed foot clamp, a movable foot clamp, and an adjustment device configured to slide the movable foot clamp to selectively clamp the bottom tank ends of different sizes between the movable foot clamp and the fixed foot clamp.

A seatback-seat linkage mechanism includes two connecting rod assemblies and a seat. The connecting rod assemblies are connected between the seat and the seatback. The seat is mounted on the seat pipes and includes two seat supports, two rear pin support assemblies and two front pin support assemblies. Each of seat supports is provided with a first slide slot and a second slide slot. The rear and front pin support assemblies are mounted on the seat pipes in such a manner that the first pin portion of each of the rear pin support assemblies is inserted in the first slide slot, the second pin portion of each of the front pin assemblies is inserted in the second slide slot, so that, when the connecting rod assemblies drive the seat to move, the seat is able to reciprocate stably along the extending directions of the first and second slide slots.
