Bottom pan torque bearing attachment
Described are torque bearing assemblies for passenger seats. A torque bearing attachment (122, 222, 322, 422) includes an elongated body having a forward edge configured to mate with an aft end (140) of a seat bottom pan (120), and first and second side edges having attachment elements (136) for connecting the assembly with a passenger seat frame (108). The first and second side edges can be positioned orthogonal to the forward edge and at opposite ends of the elongated body with respect to each other.
Non-intrusive and reclining seating arrangement for an airplane or other means of transportation
There is disclosed a seating system for use in a means of transportation, allowing passenger seats to recline without intruding into the seating space of the passengers sitting in the row behind. Each seat is supported on an elevated base and is movably carried by a support member which is attached to the base. Each seat comprises a seat bottom and a reversibly reclinable seat back. The seat back is slidably connected to one or more fixed, rearward-sloped tracks which guide the seat back as the support member is operated by an actuator and the seat is moved forward or rearward by the support member. The seat back is disposed frontward and outside of the rear passenger space in any position of the seat back. The elevated base can provide a storage compartment, allowing to eliminate overhead storage bins. A fixed, privacy panel can be arranged behind the seat back.
Vehicle seat, in particular a passenger seat for a bus
A vehicle seat, in particular a passenger seat for a bus, includes a seat member with a seat upholstery carrier and seat upholstery, which is rigidly arranged on the seat upholstery carrier; the vehicle seat also includes a backrest with a back upholstery carrier and back upholstery, which is rigidly arranged on the back upholstery carrier; and a support structure for receiving forces which act on the vehicle seat. The support structure is constructed as a rigid carrier frame arranged at the peripheral side outside the seat member and the backrest and which is connected to the seat upholstery carrier and the back upholstery carrier. The carrier frame has carrier rails which are arranged in pairs and which extend along opposing lateral edges of the seat member and the backrest.
Fixed structure seat
A vehicle seat includes a moveable structure supported by a fixed frame. The moveable structure includes a bottom portion configured to slide forward and rearward relative to the fixed frame, a back portion connected to the bottom portion and configured to both pivot and slide relative to the fixed frame, and an upper portion that, in some embodiments, is configured to rotate relative to the back portion.
HEAD RESTRAINT FOLLOWER
Reclining seat mounted on a foundation through first and second slides. The seat cushion is mounted on the first slide, and the seat back is mounted on the second slide. The slides, the seat cushion and the seat back are arranged to move together as one unit to have the seat recline. A head restraint is mounted at a top side of the seat back to follow and move with the back during movement of the back. The second slide has a non-linear curved shape to rotate the head restraint when the seat back moves. The curved shape rotates the headrest in a backward and downward direction when the seat back moves downward and the seat cushion moves forward, and vice versa. From the different seat positions, the head restraint follows the motion of the occupant as they move to the different seat positions.
SEAT SYSTEM
A vehicle seat system includes a vehicle seat having a seat base, a backrest, a seat base track arrangement, a backrest track arrangement having a backrest fixed track and a backrest moveable track that is moveable along the backrest fixed track, a link arm, a seat base pivot connection between the link arm and the seat base and a link arm and backrest pivot connection between the link arm and the backrest and the backrest movable track. The seat base track arrangement includes a seat base fixed track and a seat base moveable track that is moveable along the seat base fixed track. The seat base fixed track is connected to a vehicle seat support and the seat base moveable track is connected to the seat base. The backrest fixed track is connected to a vehicle backrest support. At least one locking device is connected to the vehicle seat. A release/lock mechanism is connected to the locking device for releasing and locking the at least one locking device.
VEHICLE SEAT WITH SIMULTANEOUS ADJUSTMENT OF SEAT DEPTH AND LUMBAR SUPPORT
The invention relates to a vehicle seat for simultaneous adjustment of a seat depth and a lumbar support of the vehicle seat, wherein the vehicle seat comprises a backrest frame, a seat part frame and a connecting frame, wherein the connecting frame is rotatably connected about a first rotation axis to the backrest frame and rotatably connected about a second rotation axis to the seat part frame and connects the seat part frame to the backrest frame, wherein the seat part frame and the backrest frame are connected to a supporting element such that the seat part frame and the backrest frame are simultaneously displaceable relative to the supporting element.
SEATING GROUP WITH SEATS FOR ADJUSTING A SEAT DEPTH AND A LUMBAR SUPPORT
A seating group comprising a first seat and a second seat arranged side by side and each adjustable in seat depth and lumbar support, each comprising a seat part and a backrest part. It may be provided that the first seat and the second seat are each formed and provided for simultaneous adjustment of a seat depth and a lumbar support, wherein the seating group is formed such that the first seat and the second seat are adjustable independently of each other in the respective seat depth and lumbar support.
