20190001847 · 2019-01-03 ·

A seat adjuster having a fixed part (12), a drive element (26), an output element (22, 24), a clamping body coupling arrangement (16) by means of which a back and forth movement of the drive element (22, 24) out of a neutral position and back into the neutral position is converted into a continued movement of the output element (22, 24) in a uniform direction of rotation, and a releasable locking device for locking the output element (22) in a form-fitting manner on the fixed part (12), characterized in that the locking device is formed by a locking ring (74) which is axially displaceable between a locking position, in which it is non-rotatably coupled to the output element (22), and a release position, and cam surfaces (82, 84) are formed on the locking ring (74) and the drive element (26), which cam surfaces are complementary to one another and translate a rotation of the drive element (26) away from the neutral position into an axial movement of the locking ring (74) into the released position.

Seatback lift mechanism for a supine motor vehicle seating assembly

A motor vehicle comprises an upper back support comprising a substantially U-shaped tubular member pivotally attached at a first end to one of a pair of opposed lateral seatback frame members and pivotally attached at a second end to the other of the pair of opposed lateral seatback frame members, a substantially rigid planar base attached to a central portion of the tubular member, a latch operably coupling the first end of the tubular member to the one of a pair of opposed lateral seatback members to restrain the tubular member in one of a plurality of positions between a stowed position and a fully raised position, and a cushion disposed above the upper back support to form a movable exposed surface.

A recliner for a vehicle seat is configured such that a plurality of stop protrusions is provided along an edge of a center hole formed in a control plate, and fore-end corners of the stop protrusions are stopped by the outer circumferential surface of a rod part of an input member when the rod part of the input member passes through the center hole of the control plate, whereby the coupling and assembly of the input member is performed by the stop protrusions of the control plate.

Vehicle seat and method for adjusting a vehicle seat

A vehicle seat and method for adjusting the vehicle seat uses a hinge mechanism (18), a guide mechanism (20), and a single actuation device (22) designed to function selectively either in a backrest control mode, acting on the blocking device (28) in order to move the blocking device (28) towards the release position, or in a track (30) control mode, acting on the locking device (36) in order to move the locking device (36) towards the unlocking position. The actuation device (22) is controlled by a user to cause the actuation device to function either in backrest control mode or in track (30) control mode.

Seat reclining apparatus
10029588 · 2018-07-24 · ·

A seat reclining apparatus includes a base member and a ratchet on a seat cushion and a seatback, respectively or vice versa; a lock member which engages with and disengages from a meshing portion of the ratchet; a lock driver which moves the lock member between the engaged position and the disengaged position; and a meshed-state retainer including an engaging portion provided on the base member, and an engaged portion provided on the lock member. When the lock member in the engaged position moves in a direction different from a direction in which the lock member is guided by the guide portion of the base member, the meshed-state retainer moves the lock member toward the engaged position via engagement of the engaged portion with the engaging portion to retain a meshed state between the lock member and the meshing portion of the ratchet.

Adjustment unit for a vehicle on seat and vehicle seat
10017085 · 2018-07-10 · ·

An adjustment unit, for a vehicle seat, is provided for adjusting a position and/or inclination of a component of the vehicle seat. The adjustment unit has a handling element, which is provided in a first direction for applying a first adjustment movement of the component, and in a second direction for applying a second adjustment movement of the component. The adjustment unit is embodied in such a way that the first adjustment movement permits more rapid adjustment of the component than the second adjustment movement.

VEHICLE SEAT

Provided is a vehicle seat capable of resisting a large load in a forward or rearward direction while reducing increase in size and weight. The vehicle seat comprises a cushion frame, a back frame, a tilting member arranged on a pivot axis of the back frame and configured to transmit to the back frame a pivoting force to pivot the back frame, an engagement member coupled to the back frame and displaceable between an engaged position in which engagement with the tilting member is made and an unengaged position in which the engagement is released, a locking member displaceable between a locking position to retain the engagement member in the engaged position and a non-locking position, and a stopper fixed to the back frame and capable of receiving, through the engagement member, an external force that acts on the engagement member located in the engaged position.

SEATING SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE

A seating system for a vehicle includes a seat cushion and a seat back pivotably attached to the seat cushion. A latch arrangement has a locked position for inhibiting pivoting of the seat back relative to the seat cushion and an open position for facilitating pivoting of the seat back relative to the seat cushion. A rotatable actuator defines a first radius and a second radius. A first flexible member is attached to the rotatable actuator at the first radius such that tensioning the first flexible member rotates the rotatable actuator in a first direction. A second flexible member is attached to the latch arrangement and the rotatable actuator at the second radius such that rotation of the rotatable actuator in the first direction tensions the second flexible member and moves the latch arrangement from the locked position to the open position.

VEHICLE SEAT DEVICE

A vehicle seat device includes a first movable member, which moves forward and rearward integrally with a seat, a first engagement member, which is engaged with or disengaged from the first movable member based on a forward or rearward movement of the seat, a second engagement member, which operates integrally with a seatback of the seat, a second movable member, which is capable of approaching and moving away from a movement path of the second engagement member, and an interlocking mechanism, which interlocks the first movable member and the second movable member with each other. The first movable member is configured to be in a first engagement/disengagement state when the seat is in a rear movement region and to be in a second engagement/disengagement state when the seat is in a front movement region. The second movable member is configured to enter the movement path of the second engagement member to restrict a rearward tilting action range of the seatback. The interlocking mechanism is configured to cause the second movable member to enter the movement path of the second engagement member when the seat is in the rear movement region.
