Car Seat Occupancy Alert System
A car seat occupancy alert system includes an occupancy sensor imbedded in or positioned atop the seat portion of an infant car seat in a vehicle. The alert system includes an engine sensor configured to detect when a vehicle engine has been turned off. The occupancy sensor may be electrically connected to a controller (e.g. a control circuit or process). When the engine is deactivated, the controller determines if the car seat is still occupied after a predetermined time and, at first, energizes a dash light as a gentle reminder for the driver to retrieve the child and, later, actuates more aggressive audio and visual alarms to alert the driver and public to a child left in the vehicle. The alert system also provides an interrupt so that a user can add additional time before an alarm is actuated.
Baby alert car seat alarm - smart car seat
The Baby Alert Car Seat AlarmSmart Car Seat, is a device or smart car seat that detects the presence of a baby or child placed, or secured in a car seat, within the vehicle, before and after the driver of the vehicle has reached his/her destination; and, after the ignition is turned off, alerts the driver of the vehicle that the baby or child remains place or secured in a car seat within the vehicle; or, once the baby or child is placed, or secured in a car seat, within the vehicle, if the ignition is not turned on within a preset time, the Baby Alert Car Seat AlarmSmart Car Seat will alert the driver of the vehicle that a baby or child remains placed or secured in a car seat within the vehicle.
CHILD SAFETY SEAT
A child safety seat, including: a seat housing; a headrest arranged on the seat housing in a height-adjustable manner; a top tether extending from the top of the seat housing for connection with an anchor point of a vehicle; a safety belt attached to the seat housing; and a locking apparatus arranged on the seat housing. The locking apparatus includes a locking member and an elastic member. The locking member is switchable between a lock position for locking one of the headrest and the safety belt and an unlock position for unlocking the one of the headrest and the safety belt, and the elastic member acts on the locking member to keep the locking member at the lock position. The top tether is configured to act on the locking member when tensioned, so that the locking member overcomes force of the elastic member to switch from the lock position to the unlock position.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING AND MONITORING A CHILD PLACED IN A CAR SEAT OF A VEHICLE
A car seat system for automatically displacing the movable components of the car seat. The car seat including sensors and a computing module to detect the measurements of a child placed in the car seat. The car seat system determines the current position of the movable components and displaces the movable components automatically based on the child's measurements or a desired amount. The car seat system automatically learns child's behaviors when the child is placed in the car seat. The car seat system learns schedules utilized by the child, routes taken by the driver of the car, and other data over a period of time. The behavioral, scheduling, routing, and other data obtained is stored by the car seat system and utilized to enhance the safety and comfortability of the child during a car ride. The car seat system also determines thickness of clothing worn by the child while placed in the car seat and adjusts the shoulder belts to accommodate for the clothing while providing a snug fit of the shoulder belts that fall within safety recommendations. The car seat also auto reclines to a desired angle and also rotates about itself to face the door. The car seat system includes an auto-incident detection mode. In this mode, the system detects an incident, such as an accident, hard braking, or another hazard, and automatically displaces the features in the car seat to make the car seat secure during the crash minimizing the effect of the incident on the child. The car seat also includes pretionsioners and motors to release, pull back, and lock the car seat belts.
BASE ASSEMBLY AND CHILD SAFETY SEAT
The application discloses a base assembly and a child safety seat. The base assembly includes: a base including a base bracket; a support leg; a slider including a slider bracket, the slider bracket being disposed slidably on the base bracket, and the support leg being pivotably connected to the slider and telescoped with the slider; and a locking member for locking the slider bracket to the base bracket. The base assembly and the child safety seat provided by the application simplify the operation of the user, so that the operation is simple and convenient, and the user experience is improved.
BATTERY ENHANCING VEHICLE INTERNAL TEMPERATURE MONITORING DEVICE
A system for monitoring ambient temperatures surrounding a child's car seat and alerting a user of unsafe highs or lows includes a battery and a microcontroller mounted within a housing. The microcontroller includes a transmitter that communicates with a temperature sensor and an external server. The transmitter and the temperature sensor each have an active state and a resting state. In the resting state, the components draw little to no power from the battery. The temperature sensor periodically enters the active state to take ambient temperature readings. When those ambient temperature readings fall outside of the predetermined ranges for child safety, the transmitter enters the active state and sends an alert to the server, which relays the alert to the user. The transmitter can also send the alert to an emergency communications line or emit an audible alarm to alert nearby people of the unsafe conditions.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR IMPROVING OCCUPANT SAFETY
The present disclosure is directed to a system of a vehicle for improving occupant safety. The system may include a camera configured to capture an image of an interior of the vehicle and responsively generate a signal, and a controller in communication with the camera. The controller may be configured to receive the signal from the camera, determine that the vehicle is occupied based on the signal, and generate and send an alert to a communication device based on the vehicle being occupied.
Locking harness
A harness apparatus including a first adjustable harness strap, a second adjustable harness strap, and a retainer apparatus. The retainer apparatus includes a first retainer portion slidably attached to the first harness strap, a second retainer portion slidably attached to the second harness strap, and a braking mechanism configured to prevent the first retainer portion and the second retainer portion from moving along the first harness strap and the second harness strap. The first retainer portion is removably attached to the second retainer portion. The braking mechanism includes a braking device configured to apply resistance to the first harness strap and/or the second harness strap and to hold the retainer apparatus in a stationary position along the first harness strap and the second harness strap.
CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY SYSTEM
Disclosed herein are various aspects of a buckle assembly for use with a child safety seat. The buckle assembly comprises a buckle sensor, the buckle sensor configured for determining whether fasteners of the child safety seat are secured into the buckle assembly; a processor coupled with the buckle sensor; and a transceiver coupled with the processor, the transceiver for communicating with a control system of a vehicle. The transceiver is configured to receive a signal from the control system, the signal indicating at least what gear the vehicle is in and whether the vehicle's ignition is on or off; and signal the control system after a first period of time has passed after receiving a signal that the vehicle's ignition is off and the fasteners remain secured into the buckle.
Child safety seat alarm
An alarm system can remind or alert an adult about the presence of a child in a vehicle. A child detector, such as a weight sensor or weight-activated circuit, can detect whether a child is occupying the child safety seat. The child detector may be integrated with or coupled to a child safety seat. The child detector can be used in coordination with a vehicle alarm system to remind or alert a driver that a child is occupying the child safety seat when a key is not in the ignition.
