A headrest assembly for a seat, wherein the headrest assembly comprises first and second headrest portions, the first and second headrest portions being movable relative to each other in a lateral direction, such that in a first configuration the first and second headrest portions are combined and form a single headrest for a single occupant of the seat, and in a second configuration, the first and second headrest portions are laterally spaced apart and form separate headrests for respective first and second occupants of the seat.

An integrated safety seat permanently built into a vehicle. The safety seat may be united with other seats or separated from other seats, or other integrated safety seats. The integrated safety seat is configured to accommodate an occupant from newborn to adulthood in a seat bottom, as well as in a back, whereby the seat bottom, back and a cradle in between may incline upward and downward by an internal mechanism, to a plurality of angles, ranging from rear facing to forward facing. The safety seat further includes integrated safety controls that operate regardless of whether the vehicle is in operation.

A vehicle seat includes cushion and a seatback coupled with the cushion. At least one of the seatback and the cushion includes a base body defining an internal cavity open on a side of the base portion and a secondary body slidably mounted with the base body so as to be extendible out of the internal cavity beyond the side of the base body and retractable at least partially within the cavity.

A vehicle seating system includes a support feature coupled to a sidewall within a cargo space of a vehicle. A seating assembly is coupled to the support feature. The seating assembly is rotatable between a stowed position and a deployed position. The seating assembly includes a seat base having a proximal end coupled to the support feature and a distal end. The distal end of the seat base is disposed adjacent to the sidewall in the stowed position. The seating assembly also includes a leg support coupled to the distal end of the seat base. The leg support is operable between a storage position and a support position.

Security features are internally integrated to prevent the incidence of leaving an unbuckled and/or an unattended infant in a vehicle that includes some combination of a scale, hasps sensors in display and video monitor of cameras in screen.

A vehicle seat device includes: a back base that is fixed to a frame of a seat back; a movable member that is rotatably connected to the back base; and an air bag that is provided on an inside of a seat cover covering the back base and the movable member, wherein the movable member is rotated so that a backrest surface of the seat back is divided to develop a child seat, and the air bag is expanded so that the seat cover is bulged to form a support shape of the child seat.

A vehicle includes a first seat. A seat base is selectively coupled to the first seat via an engaging member extending from a proximal end of the seat base. The seat base has an attached configuration and a detached configuration. The seat base couples with the first seat and forms a second seat facing away from the first seat in the attached configuration. The seat base is decoupled from the first seat in the detached configuration. A backrest is common to the first and second seats in the attached configuration. A frame structure operably couples the first seat with the vehicle. The frame structure includes a receiving member interfacing with the seat base. The engaging member engages the receiving member to couple the seat base with the backrest.
