Thermal conditioning systems and methods for vehicle regions
Features for a vapor compression system configured to cool and/or cat (i.e. thermally condition) two or more distinct climate controlled vehicle interior components via a common thermal bus are disclosed. Some embodiments employ a single compressor. Some embodiments employ multiple compressors and/or thermal buses, each servicing components located within respective interior thermal zones of a vehicle, for example a front row seat zone, second and/or third row seat zones, and/or an overhead zone and/or a trunk zone.
RESISTANCE HEAT ASSISTED COOLING AND HEATING TECHNOLOGY
Various aspects of a rapid effect heat resistant heat and cool assist device is disclosed for providing quick heat and cool comfort to a person, including at least one heat resistant thermal conductor covering a surface area of a heat and cool device for thermal communication to comfort a person, wherein the heat resistant thermal conductor is preferably made of graphene, and has a time to-sensation time period of from 5 seconds to 10 min. and is capable of reaching temperatures from 5° C. to 60° C. for providing heat and cool comfort to a person.
VENTILATION OF SEATING SURFACES IN A FLEXIBLE HEAT EXCHANGER SYSTEM
The present invention comprises a ventilation system in a flexible heat exchanger system of a seating assembly. It relates to a flexible layer having perforations positioned underneath the surface of the seat that enables ventilation to control temperature and humidity. The seating assembly comprises of a plurality of layers wherein the seating assembly has an upper layer upon which the occupant is in direct contact with, a middle layer having a heat exchanger system with perforated cooling pads or ventilation system for ventilation and a lower layer which is a cushioned layer having vents. The ventilation system includes but not limited to an array of holes, pores and cavities for maintaining temperature and humidity thus making the seating assembly breathable.
TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED SEAT SYSTEM
A seat system for a vehicle including a seat base assembly, a seat back assembly coupled to the seat base assembly, and a temperature-control system disposed in at least one of the seat base assembly and the seat back assembly. The temperature-control system is deactivated when the seat system is unoccupied and activated when the seat system is occupied. The temperature-control system includes a first conductive layer, a second conductive layer disposed adjacent the first conductive layer, and a plurality of thermal energy elements disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer.
Vehicle Seat Comprising a Temperature-Control System
A vehicle seat is provided with a temperature-control system which is connectable or connected to a temperature-control circuit that conveys a temperature-control medium. Thermal energy from the temperature-control medium conveyed in or to at least one temperature-control heat exchanger of the temperature-control system is deliverable to and/or absorbable from the surroundings. The vehicle seat has at least one flow generation system, in particular a fan system, which generates a gas flow. The at least one flow generation system is controllable by a controller, with the temperature of the gas flow being controllable via at least one temperature-control heat exchanger and/or via an electrically operated temperature-control element.
Vehicle Seat Comprising a Temperature-Control System
A vehicle seat includes a temperature-control system which is connectable or connected to a temperature-control circuit that conveys a temperature-control medium. The vehicle seat includes at least one temperature-control heat exchanger by which thermal energy can be delivered to and/or absorbed from the environment using the temperature-control medium. The vehicle seat includes at least one electrically operable or electrically operated temperature-control element which is a heating and/or cooling element.
HEATING AND COOLING TECHNOLOGIES
A heating and cooling device is disclosed comprising at least one integral low voltage heating and cooling source and an efficient flexible heat distribution means having a thermal conductivity of from 375 to 4000 W/mK for distributing the heat and cool across a surface. Further aspects include thermal interface compounds to provide full thermal contact as well as the use of a phase change material to provide a long lasting heating and/or cooling effect without the use of external electrical input. Preferred applications include automotive and furniture seating heating and cooling, along with outdoor garments having distributed heating and cooling effects.
Seat element panel
A back panel of a motor vehicle seat element successively includes a layer of paint, a layer of non-expanded foam, at least one thermal device, and a layer of expanded foam.
Commercial vehicle and rail system passenger seat for passenger comfort, safety, and convenience
A passenger seat for commercial vehicles and rail systems, having at least: a massage pad for increasing the ergonomics in the waist section of the passenger and applying massage; a compressor for inflating the massage pad; cooling pads for cooling the passenger; a heating pad for heating the upper portion of the seat and the backrest contacting the passenger; a presence sensor for determining whether there is a passenger on the passenger seat; a belt sensor for determining whether the passenger fastens the safety belt; a wireless charging unit for the passenger to charge a mobile device without using a connection cable; a manual control panel for the heating pad, cooling pad and the massage pad; a wireless connection module for the heating pad, cooling pad and the massage pad; and a control unit where the data collected from the presence sensor and belt sensor are transmitted.
Thermoelectric module
A thermoelectric module includes a first thermoelectric material, a second thermoelectric material spaced apart from the first thermoelectric material, and a stretching element selectively connected between the first thermoelectric material and the second thermoelectric material, wherein the stretching element is stretchable.
