A clip for securing a cover to a base includes a chuck defining a suspender retention cavity, the suspender retention cavity sized and configured to receive a suspender attached to the cover; a first leg extending from the chuck and including a first barb, the first barb extending outwardly with respect to a centerline axis of the clip; and a second leg extending from the chuck and including a second barb, the second barb extending outwardly with respect to the centerline axis of the clip.

A trim cover assembly for a vehicle seat assembly, a vehicle seat assembly, and a method of assembling the trim cover are provided. The trim cover assembly has a first trim member with a first surface to form a seating surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. A second trim member is provided for connection to a seat member, and has first and second side regions each extending between first and second end regions. The first and second end regions are connected adjacent to first and second edges of the first trim member, respectively. A central region of the second trim member is connected to the second surface of the first trim member via a first seam.
Vehicle seat
A mechanism for suspending a skin material on a seat rear surface with a simple and light structure is described. A vehicle seat including a seat back forming a backrest surface includes a seat back pad which is a cushion material of the seat back, a skin material which covers the seat back pad, a wire of which a part is embedded inside the seat back pad and another part is exposed to a seat rear surface, and a hook which is attached to an end portion of the skin material on the side of the seat rear surface. The wire engages with the hook so that the skin material is suspended and fixed to the seat rear surface of the seat back.
SEAT ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE SEAT, METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A SEAT ASSEMBLY, AND VEHICLE SEAT
A seat assembly for a vehicle seat may have a structural component with multiple reinforcing ribs, a cushion layer, an insert layer which is arranged between the structural component and the cushion layer, at least one component which is secured to the structural component, and at least one securing device. The at least one securing device may secure both the insert part as well as the component to the structural component. A method for assembling such a seat assembly is also described. In one method step, the insert part is secured to the structural component by at least one securing device, and in the same method step or a subsequent method step or a preceding method step the at least one component is secured to the at least one securing device. A vehicle seat have such a seat assembly is also provided.
CLIP HOLDING UNIT, MOLDING MOLD AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SEAT PAD
There is provided a clip holding unit 50 to be used during a foam molding of a seat pad 20, and the seat pad 20 includes a clip 24 used for attaching a seat cover 18 to the seat pad 20. The clip holding unit 50 is provided in a lower mold 42 of a molding mold 40, and holds the clip 24 during the foam molding. The clip holding unit 50 includes a locking portion 54 to be sandwiched between a pair of locking pieces 30 of the clip 24; a base portion 55 extending from the lower mold 42 to the locking portion 54; and an eaves portion 56 projecting laterally from the base portion 55 as going upward from below.
VEHICLE SEAT
Provided is a vehicle seat that allows engagement holes for engaging an end part of the skin member to be provided without burdening the seat frame design. The seat cushion of the vehicle seat includes a frame structure, a support member supported by the frame structure within the frame structure to resiliently support an occupant, a pad provided on a proximal side of the frame structure and the support member, and a skin member covering the pad. The support member is provided with plurality of engagement portions engaging end parts of the skin member.
Seat
A seat has a seat cushion unit including: a seat cushion frame; a seat pad which lies over the seat cushion frame; and a trim which covers the seat pad. The trim includes: a trim main body which mainly covers a top surface of the seat pad; a first trim joiner which extends from the trim main body to a backside of the seat cushion frame at the rear of the seat pad, and is fastened to the seat cushion frame; and a second trim joiner which is connected to a back surface of the trim main body in at least one of left and right end regions of the rear of the seat cushion unit, extends to the backside of the seat cushion frame at the rear of the seat pad, and is fastened to the seat cushion frame.

A lever assembly includes a lever housing attached to a seat back of a vehicle seat. The lever assembly includes a bracket attached to the lever housing, and the bracket includes a bracket opening. The lever assembly includes a lever bezel including a bezel opening, the lever bezel is received in the lever housing, and the bezel opening aligns with the bracket opening. The lever assembly includes a lever pivotally mounted to the level bezel and a clip received in the bezel opening and the bracket opening to secure the lever bezel to the lever housing.
Seat assembly having improved trim appearance and method and tool for making the same
A seat assembly having improved trim appearance is provided as well as a method and mold tool for making the seat assembly. In certain embodiments, the seat assembly has at least one narrow trench having a substantially constant width of up to 5 mm, which provides for better tolerances when installing a trim cover on the cushion and provides improved appearance and comfort. In certain embodiments, the mold tool has at least one tool insert that is configured to create the at least one narrow trench with a substantially constant width in the cushion.
