Vehicle seat and vehicle seat molding method used for same
In order to solve the issue, during recessed-shape molding for vehicle seats, of requiring a suspension step, more work, members for suspension, and increased cost in a method using suspension, a recessed-shape molding method is provided for vehicle seats having a seat frame, a seat pad covering the seat frame, and a trim cover covering the seat pad. The seat pad has a seat pad groove. An adhesive sheet is sewn on to the rear surface of the trim cover by using outer stitching, the trim cover is put on to the seat pad, then a die is pressed on to the outer stitching from the trim cover surface, the trim cover is adhered to the seat pad groove, and a recessed shape is formed. As a result, a vehicle seat having simplified molding steps and effectively reducing costs can be provided, as well as a vehicle seat molding method used for same.
METHOD FOR ATTACHING TRIM TO A SEAT CUSHION AND TRIM-COVERED SEAT CUSHION
A method for attaching a trim cover to a seat cushion includes a step of attaching an adhesive web to a vehicle seat trim cover to form an adhesive-trim cover combination. A foam cushion is placed in a trim-attachment apparatus. The trim-attachment apparatus includes a heating section having a plurality of hollow injection needles and a pressing section. Each hollow injection needle defines at least one outlet opening proximate to a needle tip. The foam cushion is placed on the heating section such that the injection needles extend from the B-side of the foam cushion to the A-side of the foam cushion with the outlet opening protruding a predetermined distance from the A-side. The adhesive-trim cover combination is placed over the foam cushion. The adhesive web is heated by flowing steam or hot air through the hollow injection needles and pressed onto the foam cushion.
Seat-cover outer-skin material, seat cover, and vehicle seat
At least a part of a seat cover (4) covering a vehicle seat (1) is formed of a seat-cover skin material (5) including a surface material (10), a cushion material (11), and a backing material (12) which are laminated in this order and are integrally joined together, and a stitch portion (20) at which the surface material (10) and the backing material (12) are sewn together, wherein an elongation percentage of the surface material (10) is greater than an elongation percentage of the backing material (12) when the same load is applied.
COVER PANEL FOR VEHICLE SEAT WITH INVISIBLE TIE-DOWN
A cover panel for installation over foam of a vehicle seat includes a first layer with an occupant-facing surface and a foam-facing surface. The foam-facing surface is located opposite to the occupant-facing surface. The first layer is configured to cover at least a portion of the foam of the vehicle seat. The cover panel further includes a second layer bonded to the foam-facing surface of the first layer such that the second layer is obscured from view by the first layer. The cover panel also includes a tie-down connected to the second layer that projects away from the foam-facing surface, wherein the tie-down is configured to tension the first layer when the tie-down is pulled away from the foam-facing surface.
VENTILATION SEAT OF VEHICLE
Disclosed herein is a ventilation seat of a vehicle, wherein since an adhesive material includes a through hole corresponding to an air flow path of a seat pad, when the seat pad and the adhesive material are joined to each other, an area disjoined between the seat pad and the adhesive material is prevented from occurring. Accordingly, noise caused by a gap that may occur between the seat pad and the adhesive material is prevented, which eliminates discomfort and displeasure due to the noise when a driver is seated in the seat and improves marketability of the ventilation seat.
TRIMMED COMPONENT ASSEMBLY AND METHOD OF MAKING THE SAME
A trimmed component assembly has (a) a component body having a first side, a second side and a receiver in the first side, (b) an acircular retainer received and held in the receiver and (c) a trim material having a first portion captured in the receiver by the acircular retainer. A method of covering a component body with a trim material is also disclosed.
VEHICLE SEAT
An objective is to provide a vehicle seat that ensures a reduced effect on an appearance even when a sewn portion made by sewing the trim cover is bonded in a groove. A vehicle seat formed by bonding a trim cover to a foam pad is configured such that the trim cover includes a sewn portion made by sewing a plurality of skin materials, the foam pad has a groove, the vehicle seat is formed by the sewn portion of the trim cover and the sewn portion is bonded in the groove of the foam pad, and the groove includes a guiding portion that guides a seam allowance of the sewn portion to the groove, and a restricting portion that restricts the seam allowance of the sewn portion to support the seam allowance of the sewn portion in a state where the seam allowance of the sewn portion does not open.
PROCESS FOR MOLDING COVER MATERIALS FOR SEATING APPLICATIONS
A seat trim cover for an automotive seat is formed into a 3-dimensional shape by compression molding a laminated moldable foam in a 3-dimensional. The laminated moldable foam comprises at least a layer of cellular polyurethane foam compression moldable in a temperature range of about 220? F. to about 260? F. The 3-dimensional mold is heated to a temperature range of about 150? F. to about 320? F. The layer of cellular foam is adhered to a cover material layer and precut into a pre-laminated blank prior to molding into the 3-dimensional shape. Optionally, seat heaters or other components can be integrated with the laminated foam prior to compression molding the seat trim cover.
VEHICLE SEAT FOR PREVENTING FORMATION OF WRINKLES AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided are a vehicle seat for preventing formation of wrinkles and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly, a vehicle seat for preventing formation of wrinkles, whereby a backing cloth between a first foam layer and a second foam layer is bonded using a double flame lamination method so that the first foam layer is freely moved and simultaneously wrinkles can be prevented from being formed on a surface of the vehicle seat, and a method of manufacturing the same.
Vehicle seat and manufacturing method therefor
In existing manufacturing methods wherein a bonded seat is formed by adhering a surface skin material to a pad made from molded foam, defects may occur from curing of the adhesive, such as reduced flexibility and a poor texture on the seat contact surface. In addition, the manufacturing steps therefor are complicated. In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a manufacturing method for a vehicle seat having a molded pad and a trim cover that covers the molded pad. The molded pad has a groove, and an adhesive is applied to the inside of the groove. The trim cover is pressed into the inside of the groove, and a steam nozzle is inserted into the molded pad from the surface of the molded pad opposite from the surface covered by the trim cover. Heat or steam from the steam nozzle melts the adhesive inside the groove so as to adhere the trim cover to the groove. It is thus possible to provide a vehicle seat and a manufacturing method therefor with which a contact surface can exhibit a good texture and manufacturing steps can be simplified.
