SEAT-COVER OUTER-SKIN MATERIAL, SEAT COVER, AND VEHICLE SEAT
At least a part of a seat cover (4) covering a vehicle seat (1) is formed of a seat-cover skin material (5) including a surface material (10), a cushion material (11), and a backing material (12) which are laminated in this order and are integrally joined together, and a stitch portion (20) at which the surface material (10) and the backing material (12) are sewn together, wherein an elongation percentage of the surface material (10) is greater than an elongation percentage of the backing material (12) when the same load is applied.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat comprising a foam padding having a through-bore, a surface cover element covering a surface of the foam padding, and a functional element formed from a soft material. The functional element has a tubular body fitted in the through-bore of the foam padding and a flange integral with the tubular body. An area of the flange of the functional element, adjacent to a peripheral end of the flange, is sewn with a reverse side of an edge portion of an opening defined in the surface cover element, such reverse side facing to the foam padding. The surface cover element with the flange thus sewn therewith covers the foam padding, with the tubular body being fitted in the through-bore of the foam padding, so that a surface of the flange and an opening of the tubular body are exposed in an outer surface of the vehicle seat.
Seat cushion
A seat cushion of a seat, which can avoid creation of wrinkle or crease in an area of a trim cover element corresponding to a lateral side of the seat cushion, irrespective of a downward load applied to the seat cushion, thereby making it possible to maintain an outer appearance of the seat cushion in a good quality condition. In a surface of a recessed region of a padding forming a part of the seat cushion, defined flexible portions are formed to be flexed in an inward direction by a downward load applied thereto. Non-bonding areas are defined between the trim cover element and the flexible portions.
CUSHION BODY
A cushion body includes a seat pad; and a seat cover covering a surface of the seat pad in a state in which a surface of the seat cover is bonded to the surface of the seat pad. The seat pad includes a drawing groove into which an intermediate part of the seat cover is drawn such that a surface of the intermediate part of the seat cover is bonded to the drawing groove; and a deformation promoting structure configured to promote bending of a vicinity portion in vicinity of the drawing groove so as to promote bending of one pad portion with respect to another pad portion in a direction in which a groove width of the drawing groove is increased, the one pad portion being separated from the other pad portion by the drawing groove.
Headrest
A headrest including: a trim cover element formed in a three-dimensional bag-like configuration, a fiber assembly; and a foam padding. The fiber assembly and foam padding are both provided within the trim cover element in such a manner that the fiber assembly is secured to and positioned on a front surface side of the trim cover element, whereas the foam padding is positioned on a rear surface side of the fiber assembly. The foam padding has been created by a foaming process so as to be integral with the trim cover element and fiber assembly.
DECORATIVE SEAMS WITH DECORATIVE ELEMENTS
An apparatus and method includes securing at least one decorative element to a trim cover to overlay at least a portion of a decorative seam, and securing a retainer to the trim cover and to a seat structure.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING AN ELEMENT HAVING A COVER, AND SUCH AN ELEMENT
A method produces an element (3), in particular a vehicle seat, having a seamless cover (2). The seamless cover (2) is optionally provided with a lamination (1). A molding (1.2) is applied and fastened to a surface side (1.1) of the lamination (1) facing away from the cover (2) or to a surface side (2.2) of the cover (2) that is not visible. The fastened molding (1.2) is connected to the cover (2) by bonding.
Seat cover fastening
A molded seat cushion is adapted for receiving a seat cover by providing an adhesive on either or both of a flexible fastener sheet and a selected area of a molded foam cushion surface, positioning the flexible fastener sheet to cover the selected area, and allowing the adhesive to set to permanently bond the flexible fastener sheet over the selected area of the molded foam cushion surface. The selected area features a three-dimensional contour that the flexible fastener sheet follows as bonded. A related flexible fastener product has a non-woven textile sheet and a resin layer secured to the textile sheet and carrying an array of discrete male touch fastener elements. The resin layer includes multiple parallel strips of resin, each resin strip carrying respective touch fastener elements, with each pair of adjacent strips separated by an exposed lane of the non-woven textile sheet.
HEADREST SKIN MATERIAL AND HEADREST
A headrest skin material includes a bottom from which a leg of a stay protrudes. The headrest skin material includes: a first skin piece, constituting the bottom; and a seal skin piece, attached to an inner surface of the first skin piece. The first skin piece includes: a first projecting piece, protruding inward of the headrest skin material; a pair of first insertion holes, through which the leg of the stay is inserted; a pair of first slits, extending from the pair of first insertion holes to a tip edge of the first projecting piece; and a first tongue piece, formed by the pair of first slits. The seal skin piece covers an area on the inner surface of the first skin piece that is wider than an area where the pair of first slits and the pair of first insertion holes are formed.
SEAT ASSEMBLY
A seat assembly comprises a frame and a cushion assembly connected to the frame. The cushion assembly can include a cushion portion, a trim cover disposed at a first side of the cushion portion, a first fabric portion disposed at a second side of the cushion portion, a second fabric portion connected to the first fabric portion, a sleeve, and a cord disposed partially in the sleeve. The cord can include a first end connected to the frame and a second end connected to the frame.
