Armrest locking device
The present disclosure provides an armrest-locking device that is disposed in an armrest that is stowed in an armrest case of a rear seatback. The armrest-locking device includes: a locking member disposed at any one of the armrest case and the armrest; a locking bracket rotatably coupled to the other one of the armrest case and the armrest, the locking member inserted into a groove formed on a peripheral portion of the locking bracket when the armrest is stowed; and a holding bracket. In particular, the locking bracket rotates in a forward direction to be fastened to the locking member when the locking member is inserted; and the holding bracket has an end to engage with the locking bracket when the locking bracket is rotated, maintaining the rotation state of the locking bracket.
Motor vehicle seat having an armrest
A vehicle seating assembly includes a first seating unit having a backrest, which includes a front side and a back side. An armrest I operably coupled with an intermediate portion of the back side and is configured for use by a passenger seated in a second seating unit disposed behind but laterally offset from the first seating unit. The armrest is moveable between an in-use position, wherein an upper surface of the armrest is generally horizontally positioned and available to support the passenger, and a stowed position, wherein the armrest is generally adjacent to a rear face of the backrest of the first seating unit.
Vehicle armrest structure with organic fibers
A vehicle armrest includes an armrest structure with a first shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The armrest structure also includes a second shell made of a natural fiber composite material. The first shell has a first contact portion that extends toward the second shell. The second shell has a second contact portion that extends toward the first shell. The first contact portion of the first shell is connected to the second contact portion of the second shell.
Armrest release mechanism
A vehicle armrest includes an armrest base having a pivot axle that extends along a pivot axis. The armrest base also includes a release mechanism that includes a pair of latch extensions supported on the armrest base for relative movement along a latch axis that is substantially parallel to the pivot axis. A latch spring biases the latch extensions apart from each other. A release handle is mounted on the armrest base for relative movement in a handle release direction. A pinion is mounted on the armrest base for relative rotational movement. Movement of the release handle in the release direction causes rotation of the pinion relative to the armrest base which, in turn, causes the latch extensions to move along the latch axis toward one another.
Operable tray tables for a vehicular armrest
A vehicle includes an armrest rotationally operable between upright and downward positions. Stowable tray tables are slidable within the armrest between a stowed position within the armrest and a ready position extended from the armrest. In the ready position, each stowable tray table is selectively pivotable to a table position proximate a respective seating position.
Method to produce a connection for an equipment part of a vehicle
A method for producing a connection, including the steps of: providing a connecting part and a retaining part; making a cut-out in the retaining part, wherein a plane is created by the cut-out; turning a deformation region of the retaining part surrounding the cut-out out of the plane such that the cut-out is enlarged and a seat is produced; arranging the connecting part in the cut-out; and forming the deformation region back in the direction of the plane such that the cut-out is reduced in size and the retaining part is connected at least force-fittingly to the connecting part.
Vehicle seat cover with stowable arm egress component and extendible flexible arm cover portion
A rear seat cover article including a portion that allows for a stowable seat arm to pass through and completely cover with full coverage of all points on the rear seat simultaneously is provided. Such an article includes a versatile middle access panel with a stowed inner cover that unfolds on demand to provide coverage of the subject extended seat arm as well as possible draping downward or fitting around the lower edges of such an arm. The overall configuration includes a complete middle panel to fold from the rear back portion to place on the seat portion, thereby allowing for the seat arm to be unstowed to full extension. The middle panel then returns to its original position with a middle opening provided for the arm to extend through. A middle flap then unfolds and extends to provide top cover and at least side cover for the unstowed arm.
Armrest release mechanism
A vehicle armrest includes an armrest base having a pivot axle that extends along a pivot axis. The armrest also includes a release mechanism that includes a pair of latch extensions that are supported on the armrest base for relative movement along a latch axis. The latch axis is substantially parallel to the pivot axis. The release mechanism also includes a latch spring that biases the latch extensions apart from each other.
Vehicle seat
A vehicle seat includes: a seat back configured to be coupled with a vehicle body and to have backrest angle adjustable with respect to the vehicle body; a support shaft that is attached to the seat back and extends in a seat width direction an armrest that is coupled with the seat back to be pivotable about the support shaft and allowed to be pivotally extracted from the seat back to be in an extracted position and retracted to the seat back to be in a retracted position; and an extracted position retaining mechanism that retains the armrest in the extracted position when the armrest is extracted from the seat back to limit an angle of the armrest with respect to the vehicle body to be in a predetermined range while the backrest angle of the seat back is changed.
CONVEYANCE SEAT
A rear-side end of a protrusion configured to prevent an armrest stored in a storage space from pivoting to a usage position is formed at a side of a seat back, the side defining at the storage space. The armrest has a pad and a cover covering the pad. The pad has a back-side end engageable with the rear-side end. The rear-side end of the protrusion is arranged on a path of the back-side end of a recess, the path created when the armrest pivots from the usage position to the storage position. The back-side end of the recess is arranged rearward of the rear-side end of the protrusion when the armrest is at the storage position.
