An armrest device for a vehicle seat may have at least one armrest and an armrest rail arrangement, which is configured for longitudinal adjustment of the armrest out of a base position into an extended position. The armrest rail arrangement may have at least one fixed armrest rail and an armrest rail which is longitudinally adjustable relative to the fixed armrest rail, and a gear unit. The armrest rail arrangement may be arranged on the armrest relative to the longitudinal direction such that a drive interface of the gear unit is oriented downward or upward or in an intermediate position. A vehicle seat having the arm rest is also provided.

Non-intrusive and extendable armrest

Described are armrests for positioning between passenger seats having a base component with a divider extending upward from an upper surface of the base component and at least one adjustable component movably coupled to the base component. In a retracted position, the adjustable component and divider are arranged to form a non-intrusive barrier between passengers' arms. In an extended position, the divider is arranged to form the non-intrusive barrier between passengers' arms, while the adjustable component is arranged to extend a width of the armrest.

A passenger seat including laterally repositionable armrests wherein a seat bottom width adjusts automatically according to the lateral armrest position. Adjustment mechanisms positioned on the opposing lateral sides of the seat carry the armrests and are driven inward and outward to laterally reposition the armrests. In some embodiments, the adjustment mechanism includes levers drive by a connecting frame coupled to a motion driver such as a rack-and-pinion mechanism positioned in the seat bottom. In embodiments, the cushion utilizes stored internal energy from the cushion construction to expand when the armrests are repositioned laterally outward.

Swing armrest for seat

An embodiment is a swing armrest for a seat, the swing armrest including a fixation bracket fixed to a seatback frame or fixed to a seatback bracket that is fixed to the seatback frame, a rotation bracket rotatably fixed to the fixation bracket by a rotation pin, a return spring configured to elastically support the rotation bracket in a direction in which the rotation bracket rotates with respect to the fixation bracket, a fixing post protruding from the rotation bracket to a side of the seat, and an armrest coupled to the fixing post.
