HEAD RESTRAINT FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE SEAT
A head restraint (14) has a headrest (16) and at least one guide tube (18) that can be latched to a backrest structure of a motor vehicle seat for movable guidance of the headrest (16) in the direction of travel. An actuating rod (30) is mounted rotatably in the guide tube (18) and an unlocking slide (40) can be moved axially by rotating the actuating rod (30). In an actuating position, the unlocking slide (40) moves a latching element (58) into an unlatched position, and, in a rest position, the latching element (58) occupies a latched position. An actuating bar (24) is guided in the headrest (16) for rotating the actuating rod (30). The guide tube (18) is supported axially without tilting, and protectively accommodates a latching mechanism (59) that is easy to actuate from outside so that the head restraint (14) can be adjusted in a simple manner.

A headrest in one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a first frame member, a second frame member, a displacement mechanism to displace the second frame member with respect to the first frame member, a first guide shaft, a first bearing portion through which the first guide shaft is inserted, a second guide shaft, a second bearing portion through which the second guide shaft is inserted, a first fixing portion that comprises a first insertion hole into which one end of the first guide shaft is inserted, and a second fixing portion that comprises a second insertion hole into which one end of the second guide shaft is inserted.

A headrest in one aspect of the present disclosure comprises a first frame member, a second frame member, a displacement mechanism configured to displace the second frame member with respect to the first frame member, a first guide shaft, and a second guide shaft arranged at a position shifted in a substantially vertical direction and in a substantially horizontal direction with respect to the first guide shaft.

The locking device includes at least one recess, wherein in a catch position of the locking device at least one safety catch engages into one of the recesses and in a release position the safety catch is out of engagement with the recess. The safety catch has at least one latch surface which cooperates with a first holding surface of the recess, and at least one comfort catch of the locking device has a second catch surface which cooperates with a second holding surface of the recess, wherein the second catch surface is inclined relative to the first catch surface.

A device for adjusting a position of a headrest for a vehicle includes: a stay mounted on a seatback frame; a main frame including a rotation guide hole, inserted into and mounted on the stay, and configured to ascend or descend along the stay; an elevation device mounted on the main frame and the stay, and configured to allow the main frame to ascend or descend along the stay; a rotating frame including a first end portion inserted into the stay and configured to ascend or descend along the stay, and a second end portion extending toward the rotation guide hole of the main frame; a rotating device mounted on the rotating frame and the rotation guide hole of the main frame, and configured to rotate the rotating frame along the rotation guide hole; and a headrest frame assembled to the rotating frame.
TELESCOPING HEAD RESTRAINT
A headrest assembly includes a headrest bun adjustably supported on a linkage system. An adjustable cover assembly is operable between stowed and deployed positons relative to a position of the headrest bun and is configured to cover the linkage system in use. The adjustable cover assembly includes first and second members, wherein the first member is coupled to the linkage system for movement therewith and the second member is pivotally coupled to the first member. A gap is defined between the first member and the second member, and the gap is maintained by a plurality of spacers disposed on the first member as the cover assembly moves from the stowed position to the deployed position with the headrest bun.
POWER HEAD RESTRAINT FLEXIBLE CLOSEOUT COVER
A flexible cover assembly is disposed on a vehicle seat having an adjustable headrest assembly. The adjustable headrest assembly includes a headrest bun and an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the headrest bun between extended and retracted positions. A trim component is disposed a seatback and includes a relief portion configured to receive a portion of the adjustment mechanism as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position. A flexible cover member is coupled to the trim component at the relief portion. The flexible cover member includes a plate member operable between extend and retracted positions. The portion of the adjustment mechanism received in the relief portion of the trim component is configured to abut an inner surface of the plate member to move the plate member towards the extended position as the headrest bun is driven towards the extended position by the adjustment mechanism.
