Seat for vehicle
A vehicle seat is provided in which a seat back is constrained from tilting down when a seat cushion is moved to a position in which the seat back cannot be tilted down. The vehicle seat includes a base frame, a seat cushion frame (3) horizontally movable relative to the base frame between a first position and a second position different from the first position, a seat back frame (4) rotatable relative to the seat cushion frame (3), a lock member (5) configured to constrain the seat back frame (4) from tilting rearward, and an unlock mechanism (6) configured to release a lock applied by the lock member (5) when the seat cushion frame (3) is moved from the first position to the second position.
POSITION-VARIABLE SEAT BACK HINGE STIFFNESS FOR BELT-INTEGRATION SEATS
The disclosure provides for a system that includes a seat mounted in a vehicle. The seat includes a base, a back support, a hinge, and a seat belt integrated into the seat. The back support is capable of rotating relative to the base and thereby reclining. The hinge is between the base and the back support and is configured to lock the back support in positions in relation to the base. The seat belt has a shoulder portion and a lap portion and is attached to the seat at a shoulder anchor in the back support and a base anchor in the base. When a generated torque, created from a forward force applied by the shoulder portion of the seat belt, exceeds a threshold amount of torque, the hinge is configured to unlock and back support is configured to rotate forward from a reclined position towards an upright position.
Arm rest and hinge assembly
A hinge and armrest assembly is provided with a stationary portion and a reclining portion. The stationary portion is affixed to a seat bottom and the reclining portion is affixed to a seat back. A link is coupled to the fixed portion on one end and a rotating cage on the opposite end. The rotating cage is located and overlays an armrest receiving portion on the reclining portion. An armrest has a pin that extends through the armrest receiving portion and rotating cage. As the reclining portion rotates with respect to the stationary portion, the rotating cage rotates to maintain the angle of the armrest to the fixed portion.
Vehicle Seat
A vehicle seat having a seat cushion and ottoman pillars attached to the seat cushion, the seat cushion can be formed in a compact manner. The vehicle seat (S) comprises a cushion frame (F1) including a pair of cushion side frames (85), a cushion front member (86) connecting front ends of the cushion side frames with each other and a cushion rear member (87). The cushion front member is provided with a pair of recesses (143) extending in a fore and aft direction, and a pair of pillar support portions (141) extending in the fore and aft direction are received in and bonded to the respective recesses, the ottoman including a pair of ottoman pillars (135) inserted into the respective pillar support portions.

VEHICLE SEAT WITH BACK SUSPENSION AND SEATING SURFACE ADJUSTMENT
The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a backrest portion and a seating surface portion, each of which is arranged to be connected with a seat base portion, wherein the backrest portion is resiliently arranged and supported to be able to swivel with respect to the seat base portion, and wherein the seating surface portion is arranged to be able to move in at least a longitudinal direction of the seat frontwards and rearwards with respect to the seat base portion, wherein the backrest portion and the seating surface portion are operatively connected together via a first lever arrangement in such a way that the seating surface portion is able to move rearwards in the longitudinal direction of the seat when the backrest portion makes a suspending movement with respect to the seat base portion in a direction away from the seating surface portion.

HEAD RESTRAINT MECHANISM FOR REVERSIBLE SEAT
A reversible seat for an automotive vehicle having a head restraint which rotates between a forward-facing position and a rearward-facing position as the seat is moved between the forward-facing position and the rearward-facing position. The head restraint folds towards the seat back as the reversible seat passes through the peak of its locus to increase clearance with a headliner of the automotive vehicle. The head restraint returns to an upright rotated position as the seat reaches the opposing position.
