A storage compartment for installation in a motor vehicle includes a storage volume which is bounded laterally by an at least partially encircling storage wall. At least one elastic compartment divider, which has a macroscopically elastic material at least in a central region of a longitudinal extent of the compartment divider, is provided such that the compartment divider can be transferred between a first divider position and a second divider position and which, at the first divider position, divides the storage volume into a first partial compartment and a second partial compartment and, at the second divider position, forms part of the storage wall of the storage volume. Two spaced-apart divider receptacles are arranged on the storage wall and at which in each case one of two longitudinal ends of the compartment divider is accommodated. The compartment divider is mounted on each of the divider receptacles so as to be rotatable about a divider longitudinal axis.

The cupholder adapter includes a cylindrical cupholder having a hollow internal volume, a collar attached to a top portion of the cylindrical cupholder, wherein the collar includes a plurality of tabs extending perpendicularly into the hollow internal volume, and an adapter base coupled to the cylindrical cupholder, wherein the adapter base includes a plurality of legs configured to expand and retract such that the diameter of the adapter base is configured to expand from a minimum diameter to a maximum diameter. The plurality of tabs includes tabs of different lengths and widths which enables and accommodates wide, tall, and narrow beverage containers during vehicle use. The adapter base is configured to install into the recessed cupholder near the console of most vehicles.

The cup holder includes a cup holder housing including a first stand and a second stand, which are positioned adjacent to each other, a guide member positioned on a bottom surface of the cup holder housing between the first stand and the second stand, a cup holder unit, which includes a first cup holder plate, a second cup holder plate, and a central member, which is positioned between the first cup holder plate and the second cup holder plate and is fitted onto the guide member, the cup holder unit being releasably coupled to the cup holder housing, and first and second support plates, which are moved along the respective cup holder plates so as to hold the cup holder unit on an inner side surface of the cup holder housing.

Beverage container holding device

A beverage container holding device includes a storage member having a storage space whose top is open and which is configured to receive a beverage container, and a movable floor mounted to the storage member such that the movable floor can move up and down and is configured to support to bottom of the beverage container. The second cup holder can pivot greater than or equal to 75 degrees about the pivot axis when the cup holder portion moves from the first position to the second position.

The cup holder includes a base, a cylindrical sidewall extending from the base, a first tab and a second tab coupled to an outer surface of the cylindrical sidewall, a sensor that measures the pressure applied to the first tab, a processor, and an actuator. When no pressure is applied to the first tab, the first tab is fully protracted into the cup holder and the second tab is fully retracted out of the cup holder. When pressure is applied to the first tab, the first tab moves away from a central axis of the cup holder and the second tab moves toward the central axis of the cup holder.
