Method and system for operating a tipper
11383629 · 2022-07-12 · ·

A system for and method of operating a tipper comprising a tipper body pivotably movable with respect to a frame with a hydraulic cylinder disposed therebetween and actuatable to pivot the tipper body. A loading parameter relating to the load through the hydraulic cylinder is monitored during tipping. Based on at least the loading parameter, it is determined whether the hydraulic cylinder is at risk of buckling and, if it is determined that the hydraulic cylinder is at risk of buckling, an output is generated in response.

Work vehicle
11391308 · 2022-07-19 · ·

A work vehicle includes: a hydraulic pump driven by an engine; a hydraulic actuator that is driven by hydraulic oil supplied from the hydraulic pump; a switching valve configured to switch from one to the other of a first state in which the hydraulic oil supplied from the hydraulic pump is supplied to a first channel and a second state in which the hydraulic oil supplied from the hydraulic pump is supplied to a second channel; a restriction operation device configured to generate an operation signal that restricts the drive of the hydraulic actuator; and a controller that controls the switching valve. The controller includes: an operation signal acquisition unit configured to acquire the operation signal; and an instruction output unit configured to output, to the switching valve, a control instruction that restricts the drive of the hydraulic actuator with the engine driving, in response to the operation signal.

Silo transport safe retrieval system
11377012 · 2022-07-05 · ·

A silo transport system includes a vehicle and a silo configured to store material when in a vertical orientation supported on the ground surface, and to be transported in a horizontal orientation on the vehicle. The vehicle includes a pivoting cradle supporting the silo in the horizontal orientation and a lock to releasably attach the cradle to the silo. A cradle controller pivots the cradle from a lowered position to a raised position where the silo is in the vertical orientation resting on the ground surface. When the cradle is attached to the silo, the cradle controller pivots the cradle away from the raised position to the lowered position when the silo attached to the cradle is empty, and is inoperative to pivot the cradle away from the raised position toward the lowered position when the silo attached to the cradle contains greater than a threshold amount of the material.

Hook-lift hoist
11383630 · 2022-07-12 · ·

Disclosed herein is a hoist apparatus having a base frame, an arm, a hydraulic lift cylinder, and a contact fulcrum attached to the base frame. The arm has a base segment rotatably coupled to the base frame at a first joint, a middle segment rotatably coupled to the base segment at a second joint, and a coupling segment extendably coupled to the middle segment at a second arm joint, the coupling segment comprising a hook at a distal end of the coupling segment. The hydraulic lift cylinder is rotatably coupled at a first end to the base frame and rotatably coupled at a second end to the middle segment. In certain embodiments, the middle segment is contactable with the contact fulcrum during operation of the arm. Various implementations provide for a hoist apparatus that is disposable on a vehicle.

CLOSED CENTER HOIST VALVE WITH SNUBBING

A valve for controlling a hydraulic cylinder on a work machine may include a raising position configured for placing a pump in fluid communication with a cap end of the hydraulic cylinder. The valve may also include closed center position configured for closing off fluid communication to the cap end line and the rod end line. The valve may also include a lowering position configured for placing the pump in fluid communication with the rod end of the hydraulic cylinder. The valve may also include a snubbing position configured for placing the cap end in restricted flow fluid communication with the tank and for placing the rod end in restricted flow fluid communication with the tank.

Hoist and supplemental support system
11453580 · 2022-09-27 ·

The hoist comprises a base, first and second lower arms, first and second upper arms, and one or more blocking members. The first and second lower arms are pivotally coupled to the base. The first lower arm is pivotally coupled to the first upper arm. The second lower arm is pivotally coupled to the second upper arm. The lower arms and upper arms are adapted to move between an unraised condition to a raised condition. Each of the blocking members is adapted to move between a supporting position and a non-supporting position. Each blocking member, when in the supporting position, prevents the lower arms and upper arms from moving from the raised condition to the unraised condition.

Hydraulic Power Units with Submerged Motors

A hydraulic power unit (“HPU”) with a submerged motor for moving hydraulic fluid is provided. The HPU may include a tank for storing hydraulic fluid, where the tank houses: a motor submerged in the hydraulic fluid, the motor having a powered on configuration and a powered off configuration; and a pump submerged in the hydraulic fluid and connected to the motor, where the motor drives the pump to route the hydraulic fluid in and out of the tank.

TRANSLOCATABLE SLURRY-CONTAINING HOPPER
20220063475 · 2022-03-03 ·

Several aspects of this disclosure relate to a translocatable hopper that is mounted for example at the forward part of a front-end loader vehicle. The hopper receives, re-positions and delivers a slurry to a jobsite and preferably is detachably attached to a vehicle. In several embodiments, the hopper is translocatable from a resting position to a delivery position through one or more intermediate positions. Preferably, a front wall has an outlet gate and a chute extending therefrom. The chute is configured to direct slurry into the jobsite, A rising and falling sluice gate is associated with the chute. The slurry moves outwardly from the chute when the sluice gate is at least partially opened as the hopper is placed at or near or above the delivery position above the jobsite.
