Flexible Tank with Cape, Discharge Apparatus and Method
A flexible tank is used to transport bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials inside of a multi-modal shipping container. It has water proof inner layers and an outer layer, which are formed and welded together to have seams at both ends of the flexible tank. A discharge valve is provided at one end of the flexible tank and an additional piece of material, referred to as a cape, is attached at the other end of the flexible tank. The flexible tank is situated in the container so that the end with the discharge valve is at the container opening and the end with the attached cape is at the rear of the container. The cape can be used by equipment positionable at the opening of the container to completely discharge the bulk liquids or semi-liquid materials from the flexible tank by pulling and winding up the cape and the layers of the flexible tank from the rear of the container.
TANK
A tank and a method of carrying a load and discharging a load therefrom. The tank includes a tank assembly having a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for carrying a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
MINIMIZING RELATIVE MOVEMENT BETWEEN COMPONENT PARTS OF A TANK DURING LOADING AND UNLOADING
A tank and a method of holding a load and discharging a load therefrom. The tank includes a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for holding a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
TANK WITH COMPARTMENTS AND AN AIR PIPING SYSTEM FOR EQUALIZING AIR PRESSURE IN THE COMPARTMENTS
The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under a substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
METHOD OF LOADING MATERIALS INTO A TANK
A tank and a method of holding a load and discharging a load therefrom. The tank includes a body having a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for holding a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
TANK HAVING AN AIR PIPING SYSTEM
A tank and a method of carrying a load and discharging a load therefrom. The tank includes a body having a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for carrying a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. An air piping system is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under substantially similar or substantially equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
METHOD OF UNLOADING MATERIALS FROM A TANK
A tank and a method of carrying a load and discharging a load therefrom. The tank includes a tank having a first wall that bounds and defines a first compartment for carrying a load therein and a second wall spaced outwardly from at least a portion of the first wall; wherein a second compartment is defined between the first wall and the second wall. The tank assembly includes an air piping system that is selectively actuated to place the first compartment and the second compartment under equal air pressure. In one example the air piping system pumps air into the first compartment and the second compartment. In another example the air piping system evacuates air from the first and second compartments.
FLUID TRANSPORTATION AND DELIVERY APPARATUS
Fuel delivery vessels and vehicles are described. Some embodiments include nozzles for access by an operator. Some embodiments include optimized size and material characteristics. Some embodiments include various dispensing systems.
TANK TRAILER WITH FLUID COLLECTION SYSTEM
A tank trailer is provided. The tank trailer includes a tank having an interior volume adapted to contain fluid, and a manhole extending through the tank and positioned proximate a rear portion thereof and proximate to ground level. The tank trailer also includes a ventilation system having a ventilation interface communicating with the interior volume of the tank, a ventilation access port having a ventilation outlet positioned proximate the rear portion and proximate to ground level and a ventilation pipe adapted to establish fluid communication between the ventilation outlet and ventilation interface. The tank trailer further has a collection system which includes a collection pipe coupled between the ventilation interface and the ventilation pipe. The collection pipe defines an internal volume shaped and adapted to collect fluid spilling from the interior volume of the tank through the ventilation interface and at least partially prevent fluid flow into the ventilation pipe.
Vehicle-Mounted Hose Reel With Pivotal And Traversing Capability
A combination vehicle (10) for cleaning a sewer includes a water jetting system (12) with a frame (34) mounted to a first end (38) of the vehicle (10) and horizontally spanning substantially the width thereof, and a slide carriage (36) operatively engaged with the frame (34) and slideable therealong. A hose reel frame (28) pivotally connects to the slide carriage (36) and is pivotal about a vertical axis, and supports a hose reel (30) that is rotatable about a horizontal axis and configured to support a hose (32). The hose (32) operatively connects to a water jetting source (46) to supply pressurized water for use in cleaning the sewer. A controller (44) operatively connects to the hose reel frame (28) and is operable to move the slide carriage (36) along the frame (34), and also to pivot the hose reel frame (28) relative to the vertical axis, thereby to enhance safety and maneuverability in locating the hose (32) in a desired position for cleaning a sewer.
