The disclosed safety device helps prevents the dog from falling from, being thrown from, or jumping from the back of a pickup truck by securing them with a safely attached net to the truck racks. The net grids (openings) are sized to either allow or prevent the dog from getting just their heads through the net. The net is easily removable for tall cargo and it also allows you to carry cargo that normally needs to be secured to the truck bed itself or in a truck with a cap. The cargo can be such as; commercial and residential construction material, yard debris, and sporting goods.

One example embodiment provides a locking assembly with an anchor, a retaining ring and a cable tie. The anchor includes a base member, a bolt, and a spring. The retaining ring locks to both the cargo net and the base member. The cable tie locks the bolt and the base member together and prevents the bolt from moving from the base member. Such that the anchor is prevented from being removed from the pallet without destroying the anchor or the pallet.

The disclosure relates to an electromagnetic cover for securing cargo, the cover including a plurality of support members arranged to form a support structure for the cover. The electromagnetic cover includes a plurality of electromagnets coupled to the support members, where the electromagnets are electrically coupled to a power source. When the power source is activated, the electromagnets generate a magnetic field to magnetically couple the cover to a surface to secure the cargo. Upon deactivating the power source, the electromagnetic cover can be removed to provide access to the cargo.
