Surface-mountable locking device

A surface-mountable locking device includes a body within which is disposed: (1) a box configured to receive a pin and (2) a locking mechanism having a bolt configured to engage the pin when the pin is inserted into the box. Because the locking-mechanism bolt engages the pin within the box disposed in the body, the body protects the locking-mechanism bolt from tampering, creating a more secure lock than when the bolt is exposed. An adapter for attaching a chain link (or similar link) to the locking device is also disclosed. The adapter is configured on one end as a pin to engage the box and on the other end to engage a link.

Transport vehicle

An autonomous traveling unit is provided with a pair of toggle mechanisms. The toggle mechanisms respectively have displaceable bodies provided with cam followers. A workpiece loading unit is provided with a member in an X shape to be clamped. The cam followers are respectively advanced to a pair of opposing corners (a first crossing portion and a second crossing portion) of the member to be clamped. When advancing to the pair of opposing corners, the cam followers are respectively brought into abutment on the member to be clamped, whereby the workpiece loading unit is restrained on the autonomous traveling unit.

Cargo organizer with hand-rotatable camming fingers

Four cargo organizers may be formed into a cargo containment system using boards of one or two standard sizes of milled lumber and of varying lengths. To attach a board to a cargo organizer, a bottom of the board is placed on a sill that extends rearwardly of a cargo organizer wall. The board is rotated upwardly until its width is in a vertical position. Then, each of plural camming fingers is turned within a respective finger hole, the holes being selected by the user for the width of the board in question. An elongate blade of each camming finger helps affix the top of the board to a rear face of the organizer wall.

A cargo restraint system includes a cargo conveyor system, which has a plurality of rollers and a cargo restraint. The cargo restraint includes an inner pawl rotatably attached to the cargo conveyor system and an outer pawl rotatably attached to the cargo conveyor system. A lever is rotatably attached to the cargo loading system. A mechanical linkage connects the lever to the outer pawl and to the inner pawl, the outer pawl and the inner pawl being controlled by movement of the lever through the mechanical linkage.

Collapsible cargo organizer

A collapsible cargo organizer is provided, comprising: a rotatable panel; a supporting base comprising a floor plate; wherein the rotatable panel is rotatable from a horizontal position to a vertical position and vice-versa; wherein, when the rotatable panel is in the vertical position, the rotatable panel provides a vertical panel to laterally support at least one article placeable in an article containing space of the collapsible cargo organizer which overlies the floor plate of the supporting base; and wherein the floor plate of the supporting base overlied by the article containing space when the rotatable panel is in the vertical position is covered by the rotatable panel when the rotatable panel is in the horizontal position.

SELF LOADING CONTAINER
20190329973 · 2019-10-31 ·

A self loading container with specific improvements upon prior art. The aim is to expand self loading from industrial multi mode shipping units to less costly end uses with a range container sizes, shapes and customizations that perform common tasks and that can be self loaded into any size vehicle. Gravitational stability is improved by relocating the main rolling means of container from the bottom of vertically extendable jacks or legs to horizontally extendable support rails directly under container. As such, extendable legs are used only to vertically level container with a receiving surface onto which it can then be horizontally transferred by means of its horizontally extendable support rails. Cost and operating improvements include a simplified coupling mechanism torqued for heavy loads with which front and rear leg extension and retraction can be either in pairs, combined or locked. Operating simplicity, visibility and safety are improved by locating all manipulative tools on the same side of container and within easy reach. Ease of self loading container into vehicles and its safe retention during transport is made possible by retainer rails on an insertable vehicle cargo floor that automatically pivot to encase the container support rails.
