Means to Solve the Problem: In a front module panel 11 provided to the front surface of a vehicle body, a panel body 12 is integrally molded by a synthetic resin material, a front grille portion 13 is provided at the center thereof, a front bumper portion 14 is formed below the grille portion, and a translucent cover portion 16 of a head lamp 15 is two-color molded by a transparent resin material at each of both right ends of the panel body 12. A camera is built in each of the head lamps 15, a millimeter wave radar 21 is mounted to an emblem 17, a LIDAR 22 is built in each fog lamp 18, and ultrasonic sensors 23 are disposed near the lower edge of the front bumper portion 14.

Modular imager assembly

A modular imager assembly includes a housing configured for removable attachment to a vehicle windscreen and for removable attachment with a rearview assembly. An imager is disposed within the housing and is in optical communication with an aperture extending into the housing. A controller is disposed within the housing and is operably coupled with the imager and a vehicle headlamp. The controller is operable to control an operation state of the vehicle headlamp in response to image data received by the imager.

Headlamp assembly for a vehicle body

The invention relates to a component group for a vehicle body, having a headlamp housing, which has at least one connecting portion integrally formed in one piece for connection to an adjoining body part, and a predetermined breaking point for separation of the connecting portion from a neighboring portion. To minimize both the repair costs in the event of a collision at low speed in the region of the headlamp and also the costs for production and assembly, it is provided according to the invention that the neighboring portion has connecting structures for connection to a joining part with which the connecting portion is replaceable after its separation.

A vehicle structure assembly, including: a first component including a hem structure defining an internal space disposed along an outer edge thereof; and a second component including one of an outer edge and a corresponding hem structure defining a corresponding internal space, wherein the one of the outer edge and the corresponding hem structure defining the corresponding internal space of the second component is adapted to securely engage the hem structure defining the internal space of the first component, thereby joining the second component to the first component. The first component includes a planar body portion and the hem structure includes a retaining arm or flap structure disposed substantially parallel to the planar body portion, wherein the retaining arm or flap structure and the planar body portion are integrally formed and collectively define the internal space.

Lighting and/or Signalling Device for Vehicles

A lighting and/or signalling device for motor vehicles, comprising: a container body, a lenticular body that forms a housing chamber; at least one light source, arranged inside the housing chamber; a first gasket made of elastomeric material, which extends along at least one part of a perimeter edge of the container body and which defines a barrier to the ingress of water and/or foreign bodies between the container body and the bodywork. The housing body includes one or more spacer elements, each of which consists of an appendix which protrudes from the housing body in a predetermined position and abuts against the bodywork in the housing seat. Each spacer element is provided with a cap made of elastomeric material applied to cover at least one free end portion of the spacer element.

METHOD FOR OPERATING A LIDAR SYSTEM
20210190951 · 2021-06-24 ·

A method for operating a LIDAR system with at least one spectrally tunable light source emitting a light beam having a temporally varying frequency and a transparent protective shield, arranged in a light path of the light beam, protecting the LIDAR system against environmental pollution includes determining distance values of an object based on beat frequencies of beat signals resulting from a superposition of partial signals obtained from partial reflection of the light beam at the object with reference signals not reflected at the object. Each distance value is determined from a peak in a signal spectrum obtained on the basis of a Fourier transformation of the beat signal. A degree of soiling of the protective shield is diagnosed by analyzing the signal spectrum in a predefined analysis frequency range. An upper limit frequency bounding said analysis frequency range is based on a distance of the protective shield.
