A body wall surrounds the body opening and has a body flange formed at the particular body opening, to which body wall a cup-shaped insert is fastened, wherein the particular auxiliary device is fastened to the cup-shaped insert. The cup-shaped insert has a peripheral or partially peripheral, bent flange segment having a fastening segment, which extends parallel to an inner surface of the body wall surrounding the body opening. A glue or an adhesive layer is applied between the outer surface of the fastening segment of the flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the inner surface of the body wall. A seal is arranged in an intermediate space between a flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the body wall.

The holding device may include a plate-like section that is provided with at least one receptacle for a lamp, and socket contacts for the energy supply of the lamp arranged in the receptacle. The at least one receptacle is realized in such a way that it provides space for different types of lamps.

A cover for a motor vehicle light is disclosed. The cover includes a base having a cylindrical shape with a closed top end and an open bottom end, wherein at least the top end of the base is comprised of a light permeable material, flanges extending perpendicularly from the bottom end of the base, wherein the flanges mate with slots located along a circumference of a motor vehicle light, a first surface on an exterior surface of the base, a cap, bars extending across the top of the cap, the bars comprised of a material that blocks light, a second surface on the cap configured to mate with the first surface of the base, wherein when the cap is welded onto the base, light from the motor vehicle light passes through the top end of the base and is blocked by the bars.
Modular cargo platform for automotive applications
A system for modifying the structure of a unibody vehicle includes a vehicle body having a unibody construction and a first module attached to the vehicle body. The first module is removable from the vehicle body and replaceable with a second module having a different size and/or functionality. A rear portion of the first module may be removed from the first module and attached to the second module. The first module may be a stock cargo module, and the second module may be an aftermarket module. The rear portion may be a stock tail tamp and/or sensor module. The rear portion may be removed before or after removing the first module from the vehicle body, and may be attached to the second module before or after attaching the second module to the vehicle body.

A power supply operates the processor and illuminating elements. In response to a travel condition of the vehicle, the motion control circuitry outputs a signal to the processor which is representative of the vehicle movement, the processor in turn signals the illuminating elements to generate a visual output corresponding to the signal.
