FASTENING ELEMENT
A fastening element for connecting a first component to a second component may have a pin-like connecting element with a first fastening region and a second fastening region. The fastening element may also have a sleeve which is configured for insertion into a receiving opening of the first component. The fastening element may also have a compensation element which is provided with a receptacle for receiving the first fastening region and which is configured for insertion and adjustment in a longitudinal direction in the sleeve. At least one drive interface may be provided on the compensating element by which the compensating element can be adjusted in the longitudinal direction in the sleeve.
VEHICLE LIGHTING ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION METHOD
A vehicle lighting assembly installation method includes, among other things, coupling an outer panel of a vehicle to a body structure of the vehicle, biasing a lighting assembly outward away from the body structure toward the outer panel, and securing the lighting assembly to the body structure during the biasing. A vehicle assembly includes, among other things, a body structure of a vehicle, an outer panel secured to the body structure, a lighting assembly secured to the body structure, and a biasing member that biases the lighting assembly outward away from the body structure toward the outer panel when securing the lighting assembly to the body structure.
FASTENING ELEMENT
A fastening element for connecting a first component to a second component. The fastening element may have a pin-like connecting element having a first fastening region and a second fastening region. The fastening element may also have a retaining element having a fastening portion which is provided with a receptacle for receiving the first fastening region. The retaining element may be configured for fastening in a cutout of the first component. The second fastening region may have a portion for engaging in a receptacle of the second component. A drive interface may be provided on the connecting element so that the connecting element held in the receptacle is movable.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING PATTERN SKIN LIGHTING DEVICE FOR VEHICLE
A method of controlling a pattern skin lighting device for a vehicle is provided. The method includes generating a plurality of random numbers and accumulating the number of continuous turn-on times for each lightening cell in an arrangement of the lightening cells configuring a pattern skin lighting device. Additionally, the method includes selecting a turn-on target lightening cell, lightening cells having an accumulative value of the number of continuous turn-on times that is a predetermined reference value or less, among the lightening cells corresponding to the generated random number, and turning on a light emitting element of the selected turn-on target lightening cell.
LAMP FOR VEHICLE
A lamp for a vehicle includes a plurality of optical modules, a first bracket arranged behind the plurality of optical modules, the first bracket performing aiming in a first direction for the plurality of optical modules, and a second bracket arranged between the plurality of optical modules and the first bracket, the second bracket performing aiming in a second direction that is orthogonal to the first direction for each of the plurality of optical modules. In particular, the second bracket is movably coupled to the first bracket to allow each of the plurality of optical modules to be aimed in the second direction as the second bracket moves.
ADJUSTMENT ELEMENT AND AN INSTALLATION METHOD FOR AN ADD-ON PART WITH THE HELP OF THE ADJUSTMENT ELEMENT
An adjustment element with which a component is fastenable and positionable in the space and including a sleeve-like hollow screw with a first and a second axial end and an outer thread to which a component can be retained and can be positioned in axial direction of the hollow screw, adjacent to the first axial end, the hollow screw has a fastening collar which is configured integrally and projects radially to the inside and which encompasses a tubular fastening opening of the hollow screw, and an axial support sleeve arranged within the tubular fastening opening so that the hollow screw is rotatably fastenable with a fastening means to a component in a rotatable manner, which passes through the axial support sleeve.
ALIGNING SENSORS ON VEHICLES USING SENSOR OUTPUT
Systems and methods of aligning removable sensors mounted on a vehicle based upon sensor output of such sensors are described. Sensor output is collected from a removable sensor (e.g., a digital camera), and a representation of such sensor output is generated (e.g., a digital image). The representation of the sensor output is compared against a spatial template (e.g., a digital mask overlaid on the representation) to determine whether external references in the representation align with corresponding reference indicators in the spatial template. When alignment is required, the removable sensor is aligned by one or both of the following until the external references in a representation of sensor data at an updated current location align with the corresponding reference indicators in the spatial template: (i) adjusting the position of the removable sensor on the vehicle or (ii) adjusting the representation of the sensor output to simulate such repositioning.
Position tuning platform
Devices, systems, and methodologies for transportation vehicle fit-up can include a tuning assembly for tuning the spatial relationship between an accessory and adjacent portions of the transportation vehicle.
Loose layered build components and vehicle front end assembly strategy
A subassembly for a vehicle front end includes a grille, a housing supporting at least one light, and a lens attached to said housing. The lens has at least one attribute for engaging said grille. The grille may include at least one extension and the at least one attribute has a shape corresponding with the extension. The at least one attribute may further restrict movement of said lens relative said grille in a Y-axis direction. This ensures consistent margins or gap widths therebetween. The at least one attribute may include an aperture, or a cavity formed in said lens for receiving the extension. The at least one extension may include an overlapping portion of said grille, and the at least one extension may be a loop overlapping at least a portion of said lens.
Lighting devices and systems with orientation detection and control
Lighting systems, devices, and units that provide illumination according to a detected orientation relative to a reference plane or a reference vector. In some examples, a light bar for use on a vehicle includes first and second sets of light emitters that are selectively activated and inactive based on a detected orientation of the light bar relative to a reference plane or reference vector.
