LOOSE LAYERED BUILD COMPONENTS AND VEHICLE FRONT END ASSEMBLY STRATEGY
A subassembly for a vehicle front end includes a grille, a housing supporting at least one light, and a lens attached to said housing. The lens has at least one attribute for engaging said grille. The grille may include at least one extension and the at least one attribute has a shape corresponding with the extension. The at least one attribute may further restrict movement of said lens relative said grille in a Y-axis direction. This ensures consistent margins or gap widths therebetween. The at least one attribute may include an aperture, or a cavity formed in said lens for receiving the extension. The at least one extension may include an overlapping portion of said grille, and the at least one extension may be a loop overlapping at least a portion of said lens.
VEHICULAR LAMP
A vehicular lamp including: a surface emitting light source including a front surface that includes a light-emitting surface, and a rear surface on the side opposite thereto; a transparent member including a light incident surface, a light exit surface from which light entering from the light incident surface exits, a light guide portion for guiding the light entering from the light incident surface to the light exit surface, and a holding portion for holding the surface emitting light source; and a light source that emits light which enters from the light incident surface, is guided to the light exit surface by the light guide portion, and exits from the light exit surface.
CLUTCH FORCE ADJUSTER MECHANISM
An adjuster mechanism that includes an adjustment gear, a housing with a radial lip, and a ball stud having stud teeth and a threaded portion threadingly engaged with the lip to retract and extend the ball stud relative to the lip during rotation of the ball stud. The gear having a gear body situated at least partially inside the housing and having splines for engaging the stud teeth to rotate the ball stud during rotation of the gear. Recessed inward relative to a gear body outer surface is a clutch tab that extends from a recessed side wall to form a side hinge. A stop wall on the clutch tab is engageable with the stud teeth when rotating the gear body in a first direction or second direction and disengageable from the stud teeth when rotating the gear body in the other of the first direction or second direction.
Motor Vehicle
A motor vehicle has a body, wherein the body has body openings, in which auxiliary devices such as lamps, turn indicators, or the like are arranged. A body wall surrounds the body opening and has a body flange formed at the particular body opening, to which body wall a cup-shaped insert is fastened, wherein the particular auxiliary device is fastened to the cup-shaped insert. The cup-shaped insert has a peripheral or partially peripheral, bent flange segment having a fastening segment, which extends parallel to an inner surface of the body wall surrounding the body opening. A glue or an adhesive layer is applied between the outer surface of the fastening segment of the flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the inner surface of the body wall. A seal is arranged in an intermediate space between a flange segment of the cup-shaped insert and the body wall.
THROUGH-TYPE LAMP MOUNTING STRUCTURE AND VEHICLE
A through-type lamp mounting structure includes a housing. The housing is coupled to a front-end frame. Two ends of the housing extend towards two sides of a vehicle and extend to side lamp regions. The end portion of the housing is coupled to a fender through a coupling bracket.
Adjustable fog lamp on motor vehicle front bumper
A lighting and/or signaling module that includes a housing delimiting a volume intended to receive at least one light source, an outer lens disposed on the housing and delimiting the volume and means for supporting the housing in rotation about a generally transverse axis. The outer lens has an exterior surface of revolution about the rotation axis. The module is preferably a fog lamp mounted on a vehicle front bumper. Bumper includes on its rear face means for fixing the lamp.
BUMPER ASSEMBLY METHOD AND APPARATUS
A method of mounting a bumper to the body structure of a motor vehicle using a locating member having an lamp-engagement portion for engaging a lamp, and a fixing portion. The fixing portion is movably coupled to the lamp-engagement portion. The method includes attaching the fixing portion to the body structure so that the locating member is movable relative to the body structure. The locating member is positioned such that the lamp engagement portion engages the lamp and the locating member is fixedly mounted to the body structure. The bumper is located in an aligned position in relation to the lamp using an alignment portion of the locating member. The bumper is then fixed in the aligned positioned.
Lighting apparatus with adjustability between two lighting structures and method of use
A lighting apparatus for use with a motor vehicle includes a frame forming an opening between at least a first side and a second side; a first lighting structure fixedly secured within the opening of the frame; a second lighting structure positioned within the opening and connected to the first lighting structure via a connector; and an adjustment device engaged with the second lighting structure, the adjustment device to apply force to the second lighting structure such that the connector flexes and allows the second lighting structure to adjust relative to the first lighting structure to move between a first position and a second position.
Taillight assembly
A rotatable taillight assembly that allows the taillight to be repositioned to make hazard lights more visible to approaching traffic and/or repositioned to provide light to a rear cargo area or tailgate.
