Turn signal systems and methods
09834137 · 2017-12-05 · ·

Methods and systems are provided pertaining to a turn signal. AUTO CANCEL of a turn signal may be performed electrically, eliminating cancelling pawls and undesirable noise emanating from such pawls as they click against conventional structure in predominantly mechanical turn signal systems. An electromagnetic brake may dampen or prevent turn signal stalk movement if an object is in a blind spot of a vehicle. Such brake may be released or canceled electronically and quietly.

LIGHT INDICATOR OF DIRECTION

The present invention relates to a safety system device for the benefit of cyclists, and in general of all drivers of two and three-wheeled and it can also be used by runners, when they circulate in the streets.

The invention comprises a light indicator that is suitable to signal, when a cyclist makes a change of direction, and the rider tries to signal this maneuver by moving outwards the arm corresponding to the side towards which the direction of travel is changing.

This device integrates: a lighting element designed to switch on and off according to an appropriate electrical command, an electrical power supply unit, a triaxial accelerometer and an inclinometer sensor. It also comprises calculation means for processing the signals supplied by the triaxial accelerometer and the inclinometer sensor, carrying out an interpretation of the meaning of the movement of the arm.

Systems and methods for vehicle hazard light control with selectable lighting patterns

A vehicle includes a plurality of lamps disposed on a rear portion of the vehicle, a user-actuatable hazard light control component (e.g. a turn-signal stalk) having a plurality of states, and a hazard lamp controller communicatively coupled to the plurality of lamps, the user-actuable hazard light control component, and the user-actuatable hazard light controller. The hazard lamp controller is configured to illuminate the plurality of lamps in accordance with a lighting pattern responsive to the state of the user-actuatable hazard light control component.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPERATING A SIGNAL SYSTEM, SIGNAL SYSTEM, VEHICLE
20170334348 · 2017-11-23 ·

A method for operating a signal system, in particular for a vehicle, a gaze direction of a user being monitored by way of at least one first sensor, a warning signal being outputted depending on the gaze direction detected. Provision is made that by way of at least one second sensor, an environment of the user is monitored for possible target objects, the detected gaze direction of the user being compared with the environment. When the gaze direction of the user points toward one of the possible target objects, that target object is designated as a selected target object and, depending on a triggering command of the user, the warning signal is outputted into the environment for the selected target object.

MULTIFUNCTIONAL REARVIEW MIRROR

A multifunctional rearview mirror includes a casing having first and second receiving spaces. A mirror is mounted to one side of the casing that is formed with the first receiving space. The second receiving space is located under the first receiving space and has a front surface formed with first through-holes. A distance detection and alarm unit is arranged in the second receiving space and includes an ultrasonic distance detection module, an alarm light module, and a buzzer. The ultrasonic distance detection module is eclectically connected with the alarm light module and the buzzer. The alarm light module is arranged in the first through-holes. The ultrasonic distance detection module emits an ultrasonic wave, which is returned to the ultrasonic distance detection module by an object, so that a distance to the object is calculated and the alarm light module and the buzzer are activated according to the distance.

A wireless U-turn indicator lamp includes a switch, a wireless transmitter, a wireless receiver, a receiver switch, an indicator lamp. The switch is activated before making a U-turn to illuminate the indicator lamp. The wireless transmitter is connected to the switch. The wireless transmitter transmits a signal when the switch is activated. The wireless receiver receives the signal from the wireless transmitter. The receiver switch is connected to the wireless receiver. The receiver switch is activated when the wireless receiver receives the signal. The indicator lamp is connected to the receiver switch. The indicator lamp illuminates when the receiver switch is activated.

Motorcycle hand control with optical sensor

A handlebar assembly for steering a vehicle includes a handlebar, a grip positioned on the handlebar at a first end of the handlebar assembly, and a hand control assembly positioned adjacent the grip. The hand control assembly includes an optical sensor. The optical sensor has a housing with a light transmissive section, a light source configured to emit light, and a light sensor configured to detect light. The light source and the light sensor are positioned at least partially within the housing. The optical sensor is operable to detect movement of a vehicle operator along the light transmissive section of the housing by detecting reflected light from the light source with the light sensor.

Hazard turn lights
