The present disclosure pertains to a light system for mounting to an automobile that alerts surrounding vehicles to emergency conditions on the automobile without the necessity of establishing electrical communication with the control system of the automobile. The light system utilizes a movable contactor that serves to activate and deactivate the light when the light system is tilted.

A notifying method includes detecting an object existing in a periphery of a vehicle and determining a type of the object existing in the periphery of the vehicle. The notifying method further includes emitting a visible light to irradiate at least a part of the periphery of the vehicle with an irradiation pattern. The irradiation pattern includes an icon pattern indicating the type of the object.
Exterior lighting and warning system
A system may have system controls that are used in controlling the system. The system may have sensors that gather information on speed, orientation, and position. The sensors may also gather information on relative speed, information on risks of a collision, and other status information and operating environment information. Safety Brakelight System
This disclosure provides a three-color coded brake lights system, analogous to those found in common traffic lights. In one embodiment, a green light may be at the center, yellow or amber lights on both sides of the green light, and red lights adjacent to the yellow or amber lights. The system may operate analogous to a traffic light to signal the tailing driver on the real-time status and or behavior of a lead car, and also significantly mitigate the severity of rear-end and other collisions with the application of a three color-coded system being followed by global motorists for safe driving.

A safety brake light module configured to energize a safety brake light of a vehicle and a method of energizing the safety brake light with the safety brake light module. The safety brake light module comprises a controller; and a power circuit communicatively coupled to the controller and adapted to be electrically coupled to the safety brake light; the controller comprising processing instructions configured to generate a safety brake light signal configured to cause the safety brake light to illuminate in an illumination pattern based thereon, wherein during a second braking event the illumination pattern only a constant portion when the time duration between a first braking event and the second braking event does not exceed the first predetermined time period.
