EXTERIOR AIRCRAFT IMAGE PROJECTOR
An exterior aircraft image projector includes at least one light source, providing a light output in operation; an optical system configured for transforming the light output of the at least one light source into a light beam and projecting said light beam onto the ground below the aircraft and the of the aircraft; a photo detector arranged to detect a brightness level (Iambient) of the ground or the exterior and configured to provide a corresponding brightness signal; and a controller, coupled to the photo detector and the at least one light source configured to control an intensity of the light output of the at least one light source as a function of the brightness level (Iambient), as provided by the photo detector via the brightness signal.
Tailgate position indicating device
A tailgate position indicating device for preventing loss of cargo and accidents includes a coupler that is configured to couple to a tailgate of a pickup truck proximate to an upper panel of the tailgate. An object is coupled to and extends from the coupler so that the object extends from the tailgate past the upper panel of the tailgate. The object is configured to be viewed in a rearview mirror of the pickup truck when the tailgate is closed to indicate to a driver of the pickup truck the position of the tailgate to prevent loss of cargo while driving and damage to the tailgate while operating the pickup truck in reverse gear.
METHOD FOR OPERATING A DRIVER ASSISTANCE UNIT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE USING A NAVIGATION TARGET SPECIFICATION DEVICE, CONTROL UNIT, NAVIGATION TARGET SPECIFICATION DEVICE, AND MOTOR VEHICLE
The relates to a method for operating a driver assistance unit of a motor vehicle using a navigation target specification device. A control unit operates by: receiving a target specification signal describing a projection on a trafficable driving surface; establishing the portion of the trafficable driving surface to which the light of the projection is applied as a driving target region; and, based on the received target specification signal, establishing a relative position of the motor vehicle relative to the driving target region. There is also a step of receiving an orientation signal from an orientation detection unit of the navigation target specification device, which describes a spatial target specification orientation of the navigation target specification device in the driving target region, on which basis a navigation target is established. Depending on the established relative position and the established navigation target, there is a step of establishing a movement path to the navigation target, a step of generating a navigation signal describing a controlling of the motor vehicle along the established movement path, and a step of transmitting the generated navigation signal to the driver assistance unit of the motor vehicle.
VEHICLE CONTROL DEVICE, VEHICLE CONTROL METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A vehicle control device is a vehicle control device mounted on a first vehicle, and the vehicle control device includes a light source configured to project light outside of a vehicle; and a light source controller configured to control the light source to project a projection image which is positioned outside the first vehicle viewed from above and is along at least part of a periphery of the first vehicle in a case where the first vehicle is stopped.
VEHICLE HEADLIGHT AND METHOD FOR ASSISTING A PARKING MANEUVER
The invention relates to a vehicle headlamp (1) comprising: a high-resolution lighting apparatus (2) for projecting various light distributions onto a roadway area (4) positioned in front of a vehicle (3); an environmental detection device (5) for detecting at least one parking space (6) located in the environment surrounding the vehicle (3); and a control device (7) for dynamically controlling the lighting apparatus (2);
wherein the environmental detection device (5) is designed to issue information corresponding to a detected parking space (6) to the control device (7), wherein the control device (7) is designed, in case the environmental detection device (5) detects a parking space (6), to control the lighting apparatus (2), under consideration of at least the information issued by the environmental detection device (5) related to the parking space (6), in such a manner that the lighting apparatus (2) at least projects a definable ground projection (8), which at least represents the vehicle length, onto the roadway area (4) in front of the vehicle (3).
REAR WHEEL POSITION INDICATOR
A light emitting unit for irradiating a road surface on a side of a rear wheel of a vehicle with light is included. A light irradiation area by the light emitting unit is at least a planar area extending in the front-rear direction of the vehicle. This allows a driver to visually recognize the position of the rear wheel of the vehicle.
REAR VIEW CAMERA SYSTEM
A camera system for a vehicle including a camera attached to a door of the vehicle to provide a rear field of view of the vehicle, the camera being articulable between an opened position and a closed position; an actuator affixed to the camera to rotate the camera; a position sensor that detects a position of the door between the opened position and the closed position; and an electrical control unit configured to operate the camera actuator based on the position detected by the position sensor such that the rear field of view is substantially directed in a horizontal direction to provide an unobstructed rear field of view when the door is articulated.
Multifunctional assembly comprising a laser emitter for the door of a motor vehicle
Multifunction assembly comprised of: an outer surface structure (CAR) containing a side door (D) that supports at least one exterior mirror assembly (RVM), an exterior door handle assembly (HE) of said door, and an exterior laser emitter (LE1) which emits a fixed and direct line of laser light (LL1) downwards on said ground adjacent to the vehicle, indicating an area (DA) where the doors open and combines functions associated with other indicator signal devices (BL), sensors and open door commands, and an ultraviolet light emitter device (EUV).
MOTOR VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR GUIDING SUCH A MOTOR VEHICLE
A motor vehicle comprising a sensor device for detecting the position and the distance from an object located in front of the motor vehicle and a device for projecting a light marker onto the ground in the region of the object, wherein the device is configured, on the basis of the detected position and distance data, to project either a round or polygonal light marker on a region around the object, wherein this is dimensioned is such a way that its border is indicates a minimum distance to be maintained around the object when driving past, and/or the device is configured to generate a linear light marker and project it on the ground into the region in front of the motor vehicle running by the object in such a way that the distance of the light marker corresponds to the minimum distance to be maintained from the object when driving past and indicates when the motor vehicle can reenter the lane after passing the object while maintaining a safe distance.
