Window mountable illuminated sign assembly
A window mountable illuminated sign assembly configured to removably couple to a vehicle window and that comprises a sign housing coupled to a translucent front panel defining an interior cavity. The interior cavity holding an LED panel including a plurality of LED lights disposed in a tightly spaced configuration with respect to one another. The translucent front panel coupled to and surrounded by a flange that extends outwardly from the front surface of the translucent front panel and is capable of flexing and deforming. The sign assembly also comprises a plurality of suction cup fasteners individually and independently capable of flexing and deforming. The assembly further includes a variety of power options as well as a remote control operably configured to communicate signals that control various aspects and features of the sign assembly.
Customizable, visual identifiers for transportation service vehicles
A method for providing customizable, visual identifiers for transportation service vehicles. The method includes receiving a request for a transportation vehicle from a user. A unique identifier associated with the user may be generated in response to the request. The unique identifier may then be automatically transmitted to the vehicle and displayed on an illuminated display that is visible from an exterior of the vehicle. A corresponding system is also disclosed and claimed herein.
VEHICLE CONTROL SYSTEM AND COLUMN TRAVELING SYSTEM
A vehicle control system applied to a column traveling system includes: a communication unit that is disposed in a host vehicle, and configured to be able to transmit/receive communication information to/from another vehicle in a column that travels while being included in the column as a group together with the host vehicle; an output unit that is disposed in the host vehicle, and configured to be able to output a visual system output related to the sense of sight to the outside of the host vehicle; and a controller configured to be able to perform intra-column cooperation processing of controlling the output unit to cause a plurality of the visual system outputs to cooperate with each other in the entire column based on the communication information. As a result, the vehicle control system applied to the column traveling system enables appropriate column traveling to be performed.
ILLUMINATED VEHICULAR ASSEMBLY FOR DAY AND NIGHT USE
A vehicle lighting system is provided primarily for use with emergency response vehicles. The vehicle lighting system includes at least one luminescent planar sheet affixed to a vehicle's mounting surface. The luminescent planar sheet includes a non-luminescent printed circuit board in the shape of a letter or number which has a top surface of a color which contrasts with the mounting surface's color. The luminescent planar sheet includes a plurality of light emitting LEDs which are surface mounted upon the printed circuit board so as to be arranged in the shape of the desired letter or number with the LEDs covering no more than 20% of the printed circuit board's top surface. Preferably, the LEDs cover no more than 7% the printed circuit board's top surface.
Passenger transport vehicle
A passenger transport vehicle that includes at least one door, an optical detection module to dynamically detect a current fill value representing a number of occupants in the passenger transport vehicle, and a control module operatively connected to the at least one door and the optical detection module. The control module is configured to automatically initiate a closing sequence that includes movement of the door to a closed position once the detected current fill value reaches a predetermined threshold fill value for the passenger transport vehicle.
IMAGE PROJECTION APPARATUS
An image projection apparatus that can be attached to a vehicle and can be effectively utilized for acquisition of road surface condition information, detection of a hidden vehicle, and the like is provided. The image projection apparatus that projects an image includes: an acquisition unit that acquires information related to a vehicle; an image projection unit that projects an image based on the information acquired by the acquisition unit; and imaging means that acquires an image outside the vehicle, the image projection unit projects light in a wavelength band centered on a wavelength of 1.4 m and the imaging means provides the information related to the vehicle by imaging an image projected based on the light in the wavelength band centered on the wavelength of 1.4 m.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECORDING AN IMAGE SEQUENCE
A controller is adapted to receive respective images from a sensors of a first vehicle. The images provide a gapless view along, and within a predetermined perpendicular distance away from, a side of the first vehicle. Movement of a second vehicle along, and within the predetermined perpendicular distance away from, the side of the first vehicle, is detected based on at least one of the images. A position of a front of the second vehicle is predicted based on the movement of the second vehicle. An image sequence is recorded at the position.
Vehicle lighting system, vehicle system, and vehicle
A vehicle illumination system for a vehicle capable of traveling in an automatic driving mode includes a left-side communication support lamp and a right-side communication support lamp configured to lit light toward an outside of the vehicle and arranged to be visually recognized from the front of the vehicle, and an illumination controller configured to, when the vehicle detects a target object, change an illumination state of at least one of the left-side communication support lamp and the right-side communication support lamp. Each of the left-side communication support lamp and the right-side communication support lamp includes a plurality of light-emitting segments arranged side by side in a right and left direction of the vehicle. The illumination controller is configured to change an illumination state of each of the plurality of light-emitting segments.
Luminous signalling device with LCD
A luminous signalling module for a motor vehicle, including a liquid-crystal display with a back face and a front face; a backlighting panel placed facing the back face of the liquid-crystal display, configured to backlight the liquid-crystal display with a view to forming, by transmission through the display, a luminous image; and a depolarizing optical device, for example a diffuser, facing the front face of the liquid-crystal display, configured to cancel out a linear polarization of the luminous image generated by the liquid-crystal display.
Ride share signage and methods of using the same
The present disclosure relates to a ride share signage device and method of using the ride share signage device. In certain embodiments, ride share signage device includes: a border display element for displaying initials of ride share companies, an LED dot-matrix display element for displaying one or more advertisements and rider welcome messages in different languages. Signage controller includes a display driver to manage displays, an input module and a processing element. The input module receives information about one or more riders through a ride request and the advertisements. The processing element includes a processor and a non-volatile memory storing computer executable instructions. When executed by the processor, the computer executable instructions cause the processor to receive ride request and advertisement messages, display rider welcome message in certain distance from rider's pick-up location, and display the advertisements before displaying rider welcome message and after the riders have been dropped off.
