VEHICLE EXTENDED STOP ARM
An apparatus (100), including: a framework (104) configured to be secured to a vehicle; an arm base (106) configured to pivot relative to the framework between a retracted position and an extended position; an arm (110) removably secured to and extending from the arm base; and a shock absorber (142) configured to absorb shock and to prevent relative movement between the arm base and the arm.
DISPLAY EQUIPMENT, VEHICLE INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR MEMBER, ILLUMINATING LAMP, DISPLAY SIGN, AND VEHICLE
According to the present invention, there is provided a display apparatus (D) having a colored light-transmitting base material (10), a black light-transmitting member (56) containing a black colorant, and a light source unit (40), in which the light source unit (40) is disposed such that emission light of a light source is transmitted through the colored light-transmitting base material (10) and the black light-transmitting member (56) in this order, a total light transmittance (T) of a layer obtained by combining a layer of the colored light-transmitting base material (10) and a layer of the black light-transmitting member (56) is 13% or less, and the black light-transmitting member (56) has an L* value of 45 or less. The display apparatus (D) has excellent designability and high luminance.
Enhanced Ridehail Systems And Methods
Enhanced ridehail systems and methods are disclosed herein. A method can include determining a pattern of a patterned object associated with a ridehail stand from images obtained by a vehicle camera, determining presence of a user at the ridehail stand using the images when at least a portion of the patterned object is being obscured by the user or when the user is detected using a sensor of the vehicle, and causing the vehicle to stop at the ridehail stand when the presence of the user is determined.
School bus stop sign assembly
A school bus stop sign assembly for enhancing safety of children entering and exiting a school bus includes a hinging unit that is coupled to an outer wall of a school bus. The hinging unit is actuated into a deployed position and a stored position. A member is coupled to the hinging unit and the member extends outwardly from the school bus when the hinging unit is actuated into the deployed position. Thus, the member extends across a roadway on which the school bus is driving to inhibit a vehicle from passing the school bus thereby enhancing safety for children entering or exiting the school bus. A pair of video cameras is each coupled to the member to capture imagery of the environment around the member.
Notification device
A notification method for notifying an object of information using a notification device or a light source device provided in a vehicle includes recognizing a plurality of objects based on a result of detection performed by an external sensor, giving a priority for the recognized objects, selecting a notification target from the recognized objects based on the given priority, associating the notification target with a region of the notification device, and performing notification for the notification target using the associated region of the notification device.
Electronic Signage Assembly
An electronic signage assembly for communicating with a person proximate to a vehicle includes a message module, which comprises a receiver communicatively engaged to a screen, and a remote controller, which comprises a transmitter communicatively engaged to a selector. The screen is rectangular and can selectively display a respective preprogrammed message of a plurality of preprogrammed messages. A plurality of resiliently compressible cups is engaged to the message module and can be compressed between the message module and a window of a vehicle to mount the message module with the screen being visible through the window. The transmitter is in wireless communication with the receiver. The selector, which is communicatively engaged to the transmitter, is utilized by a user for selection by of a respective preprogrammed message. The transmitter communicates the selection to the message module for display of the respective preprogrammed message to persons proximate to the vehicle.
Protective housing for automotive glazings and other applications
A protective housing wherein two parts (102, 104) of the housing may be closed together to encapsulate connectors and associated components that are external to the glazing laminate. The protective housing is sealed to the glazing and between the two parts to provide a fluid-tight housing. The parts of the protective housing are connected to the glazing and to each other by adhesive layers (116, 118, 120). A vehicle glazing (10) wherein a light guide stack (22) is located between a portion of the inner transparency (26) and the outer transparency (28). The light guide stack includes a polycarbonate film (32) that is bonded to the transparencies by layers of PET (38, 40) that are secured to the polycarbonate film on one side by silicone (34, 36) and that are secured to the transparencies on the other side by PVB (42, 44). The terminal end of an extending tab of the polycarbonate film forms an edge that is connected to a light bar (14) that such visible light propagates through the light bar and into the polycarbonate film through the edge. Visible light propagates through etchings in the smooth surface of the polycarbonate film to form an image. An extension of one of the transparencies protects the polycarbonate tab and supports the light bar during installation of the glazing into the vehicle portal.
SCHOOL BUS STOP ARM AND DRIVE UNIT THEREFOR
A school bus stop arm and drive unit therefor are disclosed. The stop arm includes a stop sign and a drive unit for moving the stop sign between a retracted position and a deployed position. In some embodiments the stop sign is illuminated. In some embodiments the drive unit includes a controller.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator module
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector, a mirror back plate, and indicator element. The indicator element includes a housing and a light source. The indicator element is associated with a blind spot detection system of the vehicle and includes a diffuser that diffuses light emitted by the light source. An icon is established through a metallic reflector coating disposed at the glass substrate. The icon includes a light-transmitting aperture. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle, the icon is at an upper quadrant of the mirror reflective element. When the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is attached at the vehicle and when the light source is activated, the icon is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
INSTALLATION DEVICE
In a camera device, light is emitted from a turn lamp, a caution lamp, and a welcome lamp. Here, the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp are provided in a lamp unit. Thus, it is possible to reduce a space between the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp and reduce the arrangement space of the turn lamp, the caution lamp, and the welcome lamp.
