CONNECTION SYSTEMS, APPARATUS, AND RELATED METHODS FOR USE WITH VEHICLE ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
Connection systems, apparatus, and related methods for use with vehicle electronic components are disclosed. A disclosed connection system for a vehicle includes an electronic component of the vehicle and a primary connector positioned on the electronic component. The connection system also includes a mounting feature positioned on a portion of the vehicle. The mounting feature includes a substrate and an aperture defined by the substrate. The mounting feature is configured to electrically couple the electronic component to a wiring system of the vehicle in response to insertion of the primary connector in the aperture.
Systems and methods for providing awareness of emergency vehicles
An automatic alarm system for a vehicle includes a sensor adapted to detect electromagnetic data, a computer system, and an automatic alarm mechanism. The computer system receives data from the sensor. A computer processor compares the electromagnetic data detected by the sensor with known patterns of electromagnetic data emitted by emergency vehicles that are stored in a library. The automatic alarm mechanism activates in response to the processor determining that the comparison matches a known pattern of electromagnetic data for an emergency vehicle resulting in the computer processor sending a first signal to activate an alarm of the vehicle.
Systems and method for providing awareness of emergency vehicles
Systems and methods for control systems for facilitating situational awareness of a vehicle are provided. Sensors located around a stationary vehicle may detect moving objects that pose potentially dangerous situations for the vehicle occupants and for the object. This can cause the doors to lock automatically in order to make the situation safer. Additionally, electromagnetic radiation sensors located around the vehicle may detect the lights and sounds of emergency vehicles. If the electromagnetic data from the electromagnetic radiation sensors match a known pattern of electromagnetic data emitted by emergency vehicles stored in a library an alarm may be sounded through the speakers of the vehicle in order to alert the vehicle occupants of an emergency vehicle in the vicinity.
Automatic parking control apparatus and method thereof
An automatic parking control apparatus may recommend an occupant of a host vehicle to exit the host vehicle before the host vehicle complete an automatic parking based on an amount of space for exiting the host vehicle during the automatic parking to resolve inconvenience of the occupant when exiting the host vehicle, thereby improving the commercial value of an automatic parking system mounted on the host vehicle. The automatic parking control apparatus includes: a first sensor that measures a distance from an obstacle to the host vehicle, and a controller that searches for a target parking space based on data on the distance measured by the first sensor and recommend the occupant of the host vehicle exit the host vehicle based on an amount of space for exiting the host vehicle when the host vehicle is parked in the target parking space.

METHOD FOR DETECTING OBJECTS VIA A VEHICULAR SENSING SYSTEM
A sensing method and system includes equipping a vehicle with a first sensor at a forward portion of a side of the vehicle such that a principal axis of the first sensor's zone of sensing is rearward and sideward and at an acute angle relative to the body, and a second sensor at a rearward portion of the side of the vehicle such that a principal axis of the second sensor's zone of sensing is forward and sideward and at an acute angle relative to the body. Data sensed by the sensors when each sensor senses with zone of sensing and an adjusted zone of sensing are communicated to a control, which determines the presence of one or more objects exterior the vehicle and within the zone of sensing and the adjusted zone of sensing of the at least one of the sensors.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REAL-TIME CUSTOMIZATION OF PRESENTATION FEATURES OF A VEHICLE
A controller and method for real-time customization of presentation features of a vehicle. A method includes collecting a first dataset about a knowledge level of an operator of the vehicle, wherein the first dataset is collected with respect to a feature of the vehicle; collecting, using at least one sensor, a second dataset regarding an external environment of the vehicle and a cabin of the vehicle; determining, based on the first dataset and the second dataset, a presentation feature from a plurality of presentation features associated with the feature of the vehicle; customizing the presentation feature based on at least the first dataset, wherein the customization is performed in real-time when the operator operates the vehicle; and presenting the presentation feature to the operator of the vehicle.
SYSTEM, VEHICLE AND METHOD FOR ADAPTING A DRIVING CONDITION OF A VEHICLE UPON DETECTING AN EVENT IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF THE VEHICLE
Methods and systems are provided for adapting a driving condition of a vehicle. The system includes a non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon a pre-programmed driving maneuver of the vehicle. The system also includes a processor configured to obtain audio data of acoustic sources in the environment of the vehicle. The processor is further configured to determine a receiving direction of the acoustic source based on the audio data. The processor is further configured to determine whether the acoustic source are located within the maneuver of the vehicle based on the pre-programmed or updated driving maneuvers and the determined receiving direction of the acoustic source. Furthermore, the processor is configured to determine a range between the vehicle and the acoustic source in order to determine that the acoustic source is located within the driving path of the vehicle.
Systems and methods for control systems to facilitate situational awareness of a vehicle
An automatic alarm system for a vehicle includes a sensor adapted to detect electromagnetic data, a computer system, and an automatic alarm mechanism. The computer system receives data from the sensor. A computer processor analyzes the data from the sensor to determine whether a pattern from the electromagnetic data has been detected and compares the pattern of electromagnetic data detected by the sensor with known patterns of electromagnetic data emitted by emergency vehicles that are stored in a library. The automatic alarm mechanism activates in response to the processor determining that the comparison matches a known pattern of electromagnetic data for an emergency vehicle resulting in the computer processor sending a first signal to activate an alarm of the vehicle.
