Green and red leaf lettuce varieties
Lettuce cultivars of the invention, designated TWIST (MSX19399), MSX 19158, and MSX 19155, having resistance to Bremia lactucae European isolates Bl: 16-36 and California isolates CA V-IX, are disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds, plants, and plant parts of the lettuce cultivars of the invention and to methods for producing a lettuce plant by crossing a cultivar of the invention with itself or another lettuce cultivar. The invention further relates to methods for producing a lettuce plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic lettuce plants produced by those methods. This invention also relates to lettuce cultivars derived from the lettuce cultivars of the invention, to methods for producing other lettuce cultivars derived from the lettuce cultivars of the invention. The invention further relates to hybrid lettuce seeds, plants, and plant parts produced by crossing a cultivar of the invention with another lettuce cultivar.
Lettuce Plant Resistant to Downy Mildew and Resistance Gene
Provided herein is a lettuce plant that is resistant to downy mildew, more specifically a lettuce plant that includes a mutated gene that confers broad spectrum resistance to oomycetes in lettuce, more specifically Bremia lactucae. Furthermore also provided herein are a resistance gene and a method for obtaining a lettuce plant that is resistant to downy mildew, wherein the method includes the step of mutating a gene.
LETTUCE VARIETY 79-IN1600 RZ
The present invention relates to a Lactuca sativa seed designated 79-IN1600 RZ. The present invention also relates to a Lactuca sativa plant produced by growing the 79-IN1600RZ seed. The invention further relates to methods for producing the lettuce cultivar, represented by lettuce variety 79-IN1600 RZ.
Crisphead Lettuce Varieties with Resistance to Bremia Lactucae
Provided herein are various crisphead lettuce varieties, including seeds thereof and methods of using the varieties to generate additional lettuce varieties. The varieties are characterized by their color, size, shape, cold tolerance, and resistance to Bremia lactucae.
Lettuce variety 84-31 RZ
The present invention relates to a Lactuca sativa seed designated 84-31 RZ. The present invention also relates to a Lactuca sativa plant produced by growing the 84-31 RZ seed. The invention further relates to methods for producing the lettuce cultivar, represented by lettuce variety 84-31 RZ.
Lettuce variety 45-113 RZ
The present invention relates to a Lactuca sativa seed designated 45-113 RZ. The present invention also relates to a Lactuca sativa plant produced by growing the 45-113 RZ seed. The invention further relates to methods for producing the lettuce cultivar, represented by lettuce variety 45-113 RZ.
Lettuce variety SVLD2043
The invention provides seed and plants of the lettuce line SVLD2043. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds, and tissue cultures of lettuce line SVLD2043, and to methods for producing a lettuce plant produced by crossing a plant of lettuce line SVLD2043 with itself or with another lettuce plant, such as a plant of another genotype. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of a plant of lettuce line SVLD2043, including the gametes of such plants.
Lettuce variety buckskin
The present invention provides novel lettuce cultivar Buckskin and plant parts, seed, and tissue culture therefrom. The invention also provides methods for producing a lettuce plant by crossing the lettuce plants of the invention with themselves or another lettuce plant. The invention also provides lettuce plants produced from such a crossing as well as plant parts, seed, and tissue culture therefrom.
Lettuce Variety Teton
One embodiment relates to seed and plants of lettuce variety Teton. Another embodiment relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of lettuce variety Teton, and to methods for producing a lettuce plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves, with another lettuce plant, such as a plant of another genotype, or with vegetatively propagating said plant. Another embodiment further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. Further embodiments relate to parts of such plants, including the fruit and gametes of such plants.
METHOD and/or COMPOSITIONS FOR LETTUCE (LACTUCA SATIVA) BREEDING and/or VARIETIES DEVELOPED THEREBY
According to the invention, there is provided novel Lettuce cultivars Vindara 13, 16, and/or 18 which produce superior plant (canopy) diameter (cm), plant height (cm), number of leaves, and overall leaf area (cm.sup.2) plants including novel SNPs associated with those traits. This invention thus relates to the seeds of Lettuce cultivars of the invention, to the plants of Lettuce cultivars of the invention, to plant parts of Lettuce cultivars of the invention, to methods for producing a Lettuce cultivar by crossing one or more of the Lettuce cultivars of the invention with another Lettuce cultivar, and to methods for producing a Lettuce cultivars containing in its genetic material one or more backcross conversion traits, or genetic markers associated with superior plant (canopy) diameter (cm), plant height (cm), number of leaves, and overall leaf area (cm.sup.2) or transgenes and to the Lettuce cultivars, plants and plant parts produced by those methods.
