Rearview device with moveable head assembly and vehicle therewith
A rearview device for a vehicle includes a moveable head assembly; a base assembly to be fixed to the vehicle; an actuator assembly; and a cradle configured to attach the actuator assembly to the moveable head assembly and/or the base assembly and a vehicle with such a rearview device. The cradle has at least one tool protrusion on each side that enables attachment to a tool and facilities rotation of the cradle during assembly of the rearview device.
Vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly with blind spot indicator element
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mirror reflective element sub-assembly having a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector coating, a mirror back plate, and indicator element. The indicator element includes a circuit board and a light source. The indicator element includes a diffuser that diffuses light emitted by the light source. An icon is established through a metallic reflector coating disposed at the glass substrate. The icon includes a light-transmitting aperture. With the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly attached at the vehicle, and when the light source is activated, light emitted by the light source passes through a light-transmitting portion of a heater pad and through the light-transmitting aperture of the icon. With the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly attached at the vehicle and when the light source is activated, the icon is illuminated and is viewable by the driver of the vehicle.
REAR VIEW MIRROR
The invention relates to a rear view mirror assembly for a vehicle comprising a housing configured for mounting to a vehicle; one or more mirror units disposed in the housing, wherein each mirror unit comprises a reflective mirror element and a mirror mount for securing the mirror element within the housing, wherein at least one mirror unit is an overhead mirror unit that is positioned to allow an operator in the vehicle to see an area that is behind the operator and above the vehicle.
Moving body recognition system
Using communication unit positional information acquired using infrastructure communication and moving body positional information detected using millimeter-wave radar, a moving body existing in a blind spot of a radar detection region is recognized, and behavior is predicted from movement information of the moving body, by deleting the moving body information detected by millimeter-wave radar from the communication unit information acquired using infrastructure communication.
MIRROR REFLECTIVE ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICULAR EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A mirror reflective element sub-assembly for use in an exterior rearview mirror assembly of a vehicle includes a mirror reflective element, a mirror reflector and a mirror back plate disposed at the rear side of the mirror reflective element. A heater pad is disposed between the mirror reflective element and the mirror back plate and has a light transmitting portion that is aligned with an aperture of the mirror back plate. A blind spot indicator module includes a body portion and a connector portion extending laterally from the body portion. Light emitted by at least one light emitting diode passes through the light transmitting portion of the heater pad and through a light-transmitting portion of the mirror reflector and exits the mirror reflective element to provide a visual icon visible to a driver of the vehicle who is driving the vehicle and who is viewing said mirror reflective element.
REARVIEW ASSEMBLY WITH LIGHTED BEZEL
An edge-lit rearview assembly comprising a housing; a mirror element having a perimeter and disposed within the housing; a bezel extending around at least a portion of the perimeter of the mirror element; at least one circuit board; at least one light source in electrical communication with the circuit board; wherein the at least one light source is in optical communication with at least a portion of the bezel.
Cloaking devices constructed from reflection boundaries, half-mirrors and multiband dichroic color filters and vehicles comprising the same
A cloaking device includes an object-side, an image-side, a cloaked region (CR) between the object-side and the image-side. An object-side CR reflection boundary, an object-side half-mirror, and an object-side multiband dichroic color filter are positioned on the object side and an image-side CR reflection boundary, an image-side half-mirror, and an image-side multiband dichroic color filter are positioned on the image-side. The object-side half-mirror and the object-side multiband dichroic color filter are spaced apart from and positioned generally parallel to the object-side CR reflection boundary, and the image-side half-mirror and the image-side multiband dichroic color filter are spaced apart from and positioned generally parallel to the image-side CR reflection boundary. Light from an object located on the object-side of the cloaking device and obscured by the CR propagates via three optical paths to form an image of the object on the image-side of the cloaking device.
Light-guided warning lamp used in lane change at blind zone of a vehicle
A warning lamp used in lane change at blind zone of a vehicle includes a light source and a light guide including a light entrance surface, a first reflective surface, a second reflective surface, and a light exit surface, the light entrance surface is located above the light source so that the light emitted from the light source is converted to parallel light through the light entrance surface, said first reflective surface is arranged aslope above the light entrance surface, sides of s the first reflective surface are provided with the second reflective surface and the light exit surface, respectively, the first and second reflective surface are provided with total reflection stripes configured so that said parallel light is totally reflected to the second reflective surface through the first reflective surface and then totally reflected by the second reflective surface to said light exit surface to form uniform warning light.
Mirror Assembly
A mirror assembly can comprise a blind spot mirror hingedly linked to other structures. Through various means, the mirror assembly can be placed and the blind spot mirror adjusted so as to provide a user with enhanced visibility into the blind spot of a vehicle.
AUGMENTED REALITY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE BLIND SPOT PREVENTION
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for providing various types of information to a vehicle driver. Such information can be used by the vehicle driver singularly or in conjunction with other information available to the vehicle driver in order to allow the driver to operate the vehicle in an increasingly safe manner and/or to reduce the likelihood of property damage and/or possible bodily injuries to the driver, etc. In some instances, such information is presented to the driver as an augmented reality environment such that the driver can see through objects that may be occluding the driver's vision.
