The multi-pocket pouch includes a transparent enclosure that has an interior pocket. The transparent exterior pocket includes a front face of the multi-pocket pouch to hold prioritized documents (e.g., a driver's license) above important, but lower priority, identification (and supporting) documents stored within the multi-pocket pouch. Supporting documents may include vehicle registration, proof of insurance, etc. The external device fastener may be connected to a rear face of the multi-pocket pouch so that the multi-pocket pouch can be attached to the vehicle's steering wheel. The present apparatus may also be made of flexible materials capable of conforming to the shape of the steering wheel.

SYSTEM, METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONFIGURABLE MULTI-PURPOSE INPUT CONTROLS FOR AN AUTOMOBILE

Methods, systems, and apparatuses may provide for technology to configure input control systems for an automobile. The technology may include one or more controllers to provide an input control signal for a function of an automobile, wherein each of the one or more controllers are to be situated at different locations that are accessible by a driver. The technology may also include a human machine interface to reconfigure a layout or function of at least one of the one or more controllers so that at least one of the one or more controllers is relocated to a different location or the at least one of the one or more controllers controls a different automobile function. Reconfiguring the location or function of the one or more controllers is to improve driver access, comfort and safety.

AIRBAG DEVICE

An airbag device includes an airbag, an airbag cover and a holder for holding the airbag and airbag cover. The airbag cover includes a door that is openable around a hinge at airbag deployment, and a side wall that is disposed around the door and attached to the holder. A functional component is held by a holding member and disposed in the door. The holding member includes a distal-side connecting portion that is fixed to the functional component, a root-side connecting portion that is secured to the holder, and a deformable portion that is disposed between the distal-side connecting portion and the root-side connecting portion. The deformable portion is configured to be plastically deformed at airbag deployment while having the distal-side connecting portion keep holding the functional component and suppressing a centrifugal force of the functional component from acting on the hinge of the door of the airbag cover.

Various implementations relate to an operator monitoring system (OMS). Certain implementations include an OMS coupled to a rotatable portion of a steering wheel assembly of a vehicle. For example, the OMS may include an imaging unit, such as a camera, that is coupled to a central hub portion of the steering wheel assembly. The imaging unit has a field of view directed toward one or more occupants in the vehicle and is configured to capture an image signal corresponding to an imaging area in the field of view. The imaging area can be configured to encapsulate an expected position of one or more vehicle occupants. The OMS also includes one or more processing units in electrical communication with the imaging unit that receives and processes the image signal from the imaging unit to determine an occupant state and, in some implementations, provide feedback based on the determined occupant state.
