HOLDER FOR FLAT, APPROXIMATELY RECTANGULAR DEVICES, SUCH AS TABLET COMPUTERS OR SMARTPHONES
A holder is provided for releasably securing a flat device, such as a tablet computer or a smartphone, to a component, in particular a component of a motor vehicle. The holder comprises a mounting which can be secured to the component and a holder frame which can be releasably secured to the mounting for receiving the device. The mounting comprises a carrier having first connection elements, and the holder frame has second connection elements at two opposite edges. The first and second connection elements are designed in a complementary manner with respect to each other such that the first and second connection elements interlock for the purpose of mutual fixing when the holder frame is inserted into the mounting such that the holder frame cannot be moved out of the mounting in the holder frame plane and/or perpendicularly to the holder frame plane.

The rotating mechanism includes: a mounting unit, a clutch unit, and a drive unit, the mounting unit being configured to mount a display terminal, the clutch unit including a first engaging portion and a second engaging portion, the first engaging portion being connected to the mounting unit, and the drive unit having a power output member capable of outputting torque, the power output member being detachably connected to the second engaging portion and capable of transmitting torque, and the first engaging portion and the second engaging portion being in power coupling connection.
IMAGE-CAPTURE SYSTEMS AND METHODS
An imaging system for an autonomous vehicle comprises a camera for capturing images within a first field of view, a transparent disc arranged in front of the camera such that the transparent disc covers the field of view of the camera, an actuator configured to rotate the transparent disc, and a mounting arrangement configured to mount the camera, the transparent disc and the actuator on an autonomous vehicle. Also described is an imaging system comprises a camera for capturing images within a first field of view through a transparent surface, and a fluid dispenser constructed and arranged to spray a fluid onto the transparent surface within the first field of view. Also described is an image capture system for an autonomous vehicle comprising two such cameras with respective transparent discs and actuators.

The invention relates to a retaining device for a still or video camera in the interior of a motor vehicle with a fastening apparatus (5, 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 5e) for attaching the retaining device to a vehicle seat part, such as a backrest (2), headrest (3), or headrest holder (4, 4a, 4b) of a vehicle seat (1), and a carrier arm (6, 6′, 6″, 60, 60′, 60″, 62, 62′, 62″) which is oriented approximately horizontally and parallel with respect to the broad side of the backrest (2) and at one end of which a holder (7) is arranged for receiving a camera (8), wherein the carrier arm (6, 6′, 6″, 60, 60′, 60″, 62, 62′, 62″) protrudes beyond the vehicle seat part (2, 3, 4, 4a, 4b) to such an extent that the lens (8a) of the camera (8) has an uninterrupted view towards the front in the driving direction and/or towards the rear in the direction counter to the driving direction, and wherein the carrier arm (6, 6′, 6″, 60, 60′, 60″, 62, 62′, 62″) at its other end is connected via a first rotary joint (6a) with an approximately vertically-oriented rotational axis Z2 to the fastening device (5, 5a, 5b, 5c, 5d, 5e) and can be pivoted in an approximately horizontal plane.

Example motorized camera mounts are described. In one implementation, an apparatus for mounting a camera to a vehicle includes a motor and a rotatable shaft operatively coupled to the motor. The rotatable shaft includes a mechanism for mounting a camera. A controller is coupled to the motor and configured to control rotation of the rotatable shaft based on a desired orientation of the camera.

A tablet holding assembly includes a panel that has a pair of track slots therein. A pair of arms is each pivotally coupled to and extends upwardly from the panel to releasably engage a ceiling in a vehicle. A pair of first couplers is each of the first couplers is coupled to a respective one of the arms to releasably engage the ceiling of the vehicle. VEHICULAR DRIVER MONITORING SYSTEM
A vehicular driver monitoring system includes an interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly and a camera disposed at the interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly behind and viewing through an electrochromic mirror reflective element into the interior cabin of the vehicle. Supplemental sources of near infrared illumination are integrated into the mirror assembly that, when powered to emit near infrared light, illuminate at least a front seating area within the interior cabin of the vehicle. Presence of the camera is not readily apparent to an occupant sitting in the interior cabin of the vehicle. The interior electrochromic rearview mirror assembly includes a processor that processes image data captured by the camera. The camera at least views a driver-side front seating area of the vehicle and, via processing at the processor of image data captured by the camera, the driver seated at the driver-side front seating area is monitored.

Side Rearview Vision Assembly with Telescoping Head
A side rearview vision assembly for a vehicle includes a base that is fixedly secured to the vehicle. A support arm is pivotally secured to the base. A positioning arm is secured to the support arm and is movable with respect to the support arm. The positioning arm defines a distal end. A camera is attached to the distal end of the positioning arm such that the camera moves with the positioning arm as the positioning arm moves relative to said support arm. The camera is configured to provide images exterior to the vehicle. A camera motor is operatively connected to the camera and changes its orientation with respect to the distal end of said positioning arm.
Head-up display support structure for reflection unit
Provided is a head-up display device such that shaking of a display image due to vibration can be mitigated. This head-up display device, which reflects display light output from a display unit with a reflection unit so as to produce an image to be viewed, includes a first supporting part for supporting the reflection unit rotatably about a rotation axis and a first supported part provided at one end of the reflection unit and supported by the first supporting part. The first supported part has a spherical surface formed thereon, and the first supporting part has a sliding surface that is formed therein and is in substantially point contact or line contact with the spherical surface formed on the first supported part. A first elastic member that presses the first supported part and the first supporting part against each other in the rotation axis direction is provided.
